Gascoigne Wood 7-2-99 (SUN) I had been out to Gilberdyke to photograph this train and much later in the day 37372 comes off the line from Hull at Gascoigne Wood Junction working its engineers train back to Doncaster. The cloud has just reached me so I cannot wait for it to get any nearer and zoom it.

- an advantage of getting up (too) early is being able to catch the sunrise!

Gilberdyke 7-2-99 (SUN) We were at Gilberdyke early on Sunday morning with much better weather than yesterday at Clipstone to find 37372 on the branch from Goole sat on a train of used track panels recovered overnight. The loco was shut-down at a foot-crossing waiting for a crew just round the corner from Gilberdyke signalbox. We thought that we could get some useful information out of the three blokes walking down the track as to it's departure. The most memorable thing they told us was that they were on quadruple time, presumably for overnight weekend work.

GRU - 7/2/18

I've lived here in Sacramento since 2003 and hopefully will be moving this year - I was all set to move in 2020 and then came the pandemic and I have felt much safer staying here for now. Many of my photos here on Flickr have been taken in Old Sacramento.

Old Sacramento is one of my favorite places to visit in the morning and late afternoon/early evening. It is bordered, on the west, by the Sacramento River with spectacular views of the Tower Bridge, the I Street Bridge, and tne Ziggurat and California State Teacher Retirement System buildings on the West Sacramento side of the river.. The Delta King Riverboat Hotel is a great attraction and many of the structures of Old Sacramento retain the original Gold Rush (of 1848) structures. It used to be the departure point for the gold miners and then the families that settled here to get ferries down to San Francisco. Much of the city of Sacramento - the city proper - still retains a significant number of Victorian houses that were built at the same time, many of which are now multi-dwelling units. Here's some information if you're interested in finding out more about it.

The laughing gull (Leucophaeus atricilla) is a medium-sized gull of North and South America. Named for its laugh-like call, it is an opportunistic omnivore and scavenger. It breeds in large colonies mostly along the Atlantic coast of North America, the Caribbean, and northern South America.

This species is 36–41 cm (14–16 in) long with a 98–110 cm (39–43 in) wingspan and a weight range[4] of 203–371g (7.2-13.1 oz). The summer adult's body is white apart from the dark grey back and wings and black head.

Its wings are much darker grey than all other gulls of similar size except the smaller Franklin's gull, and they have black tips without the white crescent shown by Franklin's. The beak is long and red. The black hood is mostly lost in winter.

Laughing gulls take three years to reach adult plumage. Immature birds are always darker than most similar-sized gulls other than Franklin's. First-year birds are greyer below and have paler heads than first-year Franklin's, and second-years can be distinguished by the wing pattern and structure.

Cardigan: GAP

Belt: GAP

Shoes: Rainbow...I think

My parents were having a bbq for my bro's birthday and the weather was actually pleasant, cue the cardigan. I wanted something effortless, summery and bright. Also, at one point I thought I looked Gap-like then realized that's because I was wearing all Gap. I guess that store is forever in my heart & closet.
