There are a few pics of Guitars around, so thought I'd have a go - quite pleased with this - still got the dust, dirt & scratches emphasized on the bridge.
I tried a B&W conversion, but preferred the colour with the Gold.
Ibanez SR496 Six String Bass.
Shot with a Canon Rebel T3 and Tokina AT-X M35 Pro DX 35mm Macro lens.
I was able to maximize the Bartolini circuit to it's fullest potential...this thing now has an arsenal of tone.
The opportunity arose - so I've spent the money which would have bought me a nice set of Meridian monoblocks and pre-amp on this instead :)
Been thinking for a while now that I should take some pictures of my bass with my 350D. These are a few I got tonight.
simple but effective lighting set-up...two desk lamps VERY close to the bridge, 18-55mm (at tele end), shallow depth of field....really brings out the gold.
I promise I'm not going to go overboard with the HDR-style editing. This is a single-shot JPEG. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have put my guitar out in the sun to take a picture of it...but at least I got a good picture! And my guitar still sounds fine, although I need to change the strings.
Epiphone Les Paul? Ukulele! A gift i very appreciate. Love that little brother of my guitars.
