A lightly loaded 6D22, 17.55 Thornton to Mossend Speedlink working, trundles along the lightly used link between Dalmeny and Winchburgh Junction; Inverness depot's 26042 providing the traction.
In the background is Royal Elizabeth Yard, a Royal Naval Victualling Depot, still in operation at the time of the photo supplying the Port Edgar and Rosyth facilities. It was eventually sold off in 1996 and is now a series of industrial units. It was once rail served with the branch joining the link roughly where the two A/B vans are.

With its paint still gleaming in the sunlight, 4201 passes an Endeavour with 4520 and 4807 in tow on 6D22 light engine movement through Alymerton, en route back to Thirlmere.
The locos were travelling back from Moss Vale after completing the down trip of 4201's trial/shake down since her major overhaul and return to THNSW.

The jeepney I was travelling on (above) had a flat tyre and the driver was changing the wheel using the spare. We were delayed some time due to the muddy conditions and the difficult circumstances.
