A big congratulations to Tyler (Ty) Weyman, Indo Board Team Rider and motocross phenom. Ty was chosen to be featured in Kawasaki's 2011 advertising campagn for their 65cc, 85cc and 110cc motorcycles. Seems a scout for a productions company spotted Ty while he was training on a track in Central California and the rest i...s history. Look fo Ty in Kawasaki's 2011 TV advertisements.

And that racing motorcycle is nobody’s toy.

I really enjoy watching the young racing talent move up from the 50cc Shaft Drives to the bigger. much faster 65cc machines. Here we see #6 - Logan Eisenhard, totally focused on the faster turns at last weekends race at Piston Poppers MotorCycle TT. It’s not called the “Fastest TT in Pennsylvania” out of idle boasting. But Logan is keeping up to the challenge.

Took out the new Royal Enfield Himalayan for a little test ride in the Peak District.. Showning it some of my fav spots.. Didn't have time for a cappuccino stop unfortunately.

Had one later when back on my Himmy!!

Lovely bike the new Himalayan, quick, responsive, fast, feels lighter, very stable at low speed and filtering. Side stand is naff! needs making taller.

But I am not swapping out my Himmy at the moment!!

IRESA (Industrias Reunidas Espanolas, SA) was a Spanish brand whose headquarters were in the Madrid neighbourhood of Gindalera, the company was founded in 1949 by Antonio S de Baigorren and began by manufacturing auxiliary motors for bicycles.

The first engines manufactured by IRESA had a capacity of 48cc. Later they manufactured motorcycles that they equipped with their own engines that were either 65cc or 98cc.

In June 1953, IRESA presented its most powerful engine, a new 200cc model. This engine was a copy of the 197cc Hispano Villiers and had many problems mainly due to the poor-quality materials used in its manufacture. This was a common and almost unavoidable problem since the quality of the raw materials in 1950s Spain left much to be desired.

In addition to the production of motorcycles and motocarros, IRESA also manufactured microcars between 1955 and 1958, based on their 200cc engine. Sadly, after suffering a fire in its workshops, the firm went into decline and finally went bankrupt in 1962.

This has to be the smallest Harley engine ever built. Built by Harley Davidson's Italian subsidiary, Aermacchi, this miniature motorcycle was sold through Harley dealerships. The intention was to entice young riders into their stores and cultivate a new customer base. The following year this model was enlarged to 65cc and 4.5 horsepower, increasing top speed to 45 m.p.h. Retail price in 1966 was $255.00.
