Geschichte sind die Formsignale, die 611er und die alten Bahnhöfe der hinteren Höllentalbahn. Eine einstige Eisenbahnidylle musste der modernisierung zum Opfer fallen und so können nur noch Bilder von der guten alten Zeit sprechen. Am letzten Betriebstag der "alten" hinteren Höllentalbahn hatte ich dann auch mal auf den letzten Drücker den Weg an diese Landschaftlich wundervolle Strecke gefunden und am Bahnhof von Rötenbach 611 524 (024) bei der Ausfahrt in Richtung Neustadt aufnehmen können.
... ging es am 30. April 2018 für mich an die nicht-elektrifizierte Höllentalbahn. Als dort noch die Welt in Ordnung war machte sich 611 045 als RE von Neustadt auf um in Richtung Donaueschingen zu fahren. Hier in der bekannten Fotokurve bei Rötenbach.

While participating in one of the many 611 fire-ups, an opportunity was present to see various parts on Norfolk and Western which have 611 and the side of the locomotive it belonged on. Fascinating as each locomotives parts were likely sized and dynamically balanced for one engine. Wish I could have made NCTM this past weekend, however preparing the racecar took precedence.
