In contrast to the more stable populations of other warblers, their numbers go up and down depending on outbreaks of the spruce budworm. They are abundant during infestations, but decline or even disappear from some areas a few years later.

Most of the volcano is covered by snow.
After the Arenal, climbing a steep snow (glacial) ridge. Extra 32 minutes for me. It normally takes 40 minutes.
We left from the Hut at 2:00 am.
It is 6:20 am (sunrise time).

With its elevation of 5,023 metres (16,480 ft), Tungurahua just over tops the snow line (about 4,900 metres (16,100 ft)).
Tungurahua's top is snow-covered and did feature a small summit glacier which melted away after the increase of volcanic activity in 1999.

The glacier is small and represents only the final 40 minutes of the climb.
Crampons are recommended.
The rest of the climb is scree and demanding, especially if it is muddy.

The Greyhound is an ancient and noble breed renowned as the fastest dog on Earth, but also famous for being a docile "45-mph couch potato" in the home. They make calm, affectionate, and low-maintenance family pets for the right household.

Greyhounds can reach speeds of up to 45 mph (72 km/h) in just a few strides, thanks to their unique, aerodynamic build, deep chest, flexible spine, and long, powerful legs.
Temperament:

Exercise Needs:

The red-bellied grackle is endemic to Colombia where it is found in all three Andean ranges at altitudes of 800 to 2,400m (2,600 to 7,900ft) above sea level.
Its natural habitat is tropical forest, but the trees are increasingly being felled for timber and to make way for agriculture, and little virgin forest remains within its range.
H. pyrohypogaster was formerly classified as "endangered" by the International Union for Conservation of Nature but in 2012 the threat level was lowered to "vulnerable". This is on the basis that, although its forest habitat remains under pressure, it has been found at some new locations where it was not known before. The total population is now estimated to be in the range 2,500 to 9,999 individuals.
One winter we saw the bluebirds huddled up in a tree out front and wondered why they were still in Michigan. We got a birdbath heater to have open water. Vaughn looked up food and found a recipe for peanut butter and mealworms. The peanut butter holds the mealworms so they don't slide off.

Running for the summer on a primarily overnight and a padded schedule, VIA 604 from Senneterre (the first half of the train) and VIA 600 from Jonquière (the second half of the train) are running early as they approach Turcot Ouest.
Longmoor Military Railway No. 600 ‘Gordon’ on display at the Engine House visitor centre on the Severn Valley Railway. It was built during World War II to the War Department "Austerity" 2-10-0 design by the North British Locomotive Co. at its Hyde Park Works in Glasgow in 1943, and was the last steam locomotive owned by the British Army.
