Main Street, Crystal Arts shop. Cinderella coach jeweled trinket box ($55). Closed.

I visited Disneyland on Sunday June 25, 2017. It was hot (100 F) and moderately crowded.

World of Disney had lots of the new style Rose Sipper Cup for sale. It was the only place that I saw the cup on my trip today.

The Crystal Arts shop on Main Street had the 2017 Swarovski Beauty and the Beast LE 250 figure for the first time. It is a crystal encrusted figure of Belle and the Beast in their ballroom dance. According to the Swarovski website, it has 57,355 hand-set crystals, and its price is $14,000. Beast looked excellent, but I didn't care for Belle's face. They also had a jeweled and enameled Cinderella coach in the form of a large trinket box. It was cream colored, and very heavy and very nice looking. It was $55, which was less than what I was expecting.

While I was waiting in line for the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters ride, Snow White and the Evil Queen walked by on their way to Fantasyland. I can't remember the two of them ever walking together before. They were side by side, and Snow White skipped a little, getting ahead of the Queen. There was a long line of people following them. They were too far away and moving too quickly for me to get a photo of them.

I got a good score on the ride, but was only #18. Once again, DLH and ROB dominated the top ten board, with ROB being #1. He didn't show up clearly in the photo of taken of him on the ride.

I decided to eat lunch at the Red Rose Taverne in Fantasyland for the first time. It was formerly the Village Haus restaurant. It is a quick service restaurant, with burgers and pizza as the main entrees. I got the Beast's Burger and the Grey Stuff Gateau. The Grey Stuff was a red velvet chocolate cake covered with grey frosting, sitting on a large sugar cookie. There was music and songs from the animated Beauty and the Beast playing continuously, and the walls were painted with scenes inspired by the movie. It was a nice experience, and I will definitely be back. It opens at 11 am, whereas the Plaza Inn opens for lunch at 12 noon, so the Red Rose Taverne definitely has an advantage there.

Afterwards I did a couple of my favorite rides in Fantasyland, Peter Pan's Flight and Snow White's Scary Adventures. I took photos of the rides while I was in line, including the Evil Queen peering out of her window over the entrance to the Snow White ride. Afterwards, I left for home, as it was very crowded and very hot (over 100 F).

I caught wind that there was some flooding near Halpin on the BNSF Ottumwa Sub, so I went to check it out. The flood created several washouts which shut down the line in both directions for an undetermined amount of time. Located west of Albia, IA. 6/25/2015.
