Five years ago today, I uploaded my first pictures to Flickr. Eighteen of them in one day! They were all film shots I took in the 80's and 90's. Now, unless I'm doing a series, I prefer to upload one per day and make it special. Sometimes that is a challenge because I have so many pictures.
After five years, I'm happiest about the people I've met here on Flickr. I've learned so much from you about photography and also about different places around the world. I love that!
Think of how far we have come in just 5 years. Today, I have Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 with its sweeping updates. I have Lightroom for my iPhone. I can take a picture, process it and post it to Flickr all with my phone. It might even look better than the shots in this mosaic!
Flickr was my first social network and continues to be my favorite. Here's to the future!

These machines were produced in the USA from 1896 - 1919, most of which came from the Woodstock, ILL factory. Left over inventory was sold until about 1927. All told, over a million of these antique typewriters were produced and there are still some very nice models out there to be found in excellent condition!

Wow... almost 5 years ago, I posted my first big boy build....
I remember my first fav. I remember my first comment. I the first time I got a reply... I remember when I broke 10,000 views! ...
I can't believe it's been 5 years, and through thick and thin, friends, and arch-nemesis frienemies, collabs, theme months and conventions! So much has changed, (remember notes? ha! no more pointing out unstacked bricks, or mixing in old greys!) yet you all have stayed the same awesome group of LEGO loving people.
I've had such a blast and feel blessed to be on this ride. And it's thanks to all your comments, favs, chats, txts, pew pew pew games, ...
