Concealment is never as hard as people think, you must understand that. It's action while hiding that is the hard part.
Kim Stanley Robinson, Green Mars
No frills on this one, it's a six with three-speed manual transmission. I believe it is an original, unrestored car. If I owned it, it would become a "restomod". These cars are light weight, and have room for any Ford Big Block. Photographed at the Tonica, Illinois Cruise Night, August 24, 2013.

We celebrated TGIF at "57 Degrees", a wine shop, bar, art space in San Diego, CA. Great ambiance, great assortment of wines reasonably priced, a live band and interesting artwork. Great way to spend a Friday evening !
I can't seem to come up with any creative ideas lately, so you get this squishy face. I haven't done a grunge look for my 365's yet, so I decided today was the day.
After watching "The September Issue", I was inspired to take my Strangers portfolio in a different direction. "The September Issue" is a documentary on the editor of Vogue USA, Anna Wintour, and the creative inputs involved with producing the September issue of the magazine. September is the fiscal year in the fashion world, and is the season in which designer debut their trends for the upcoming season. After watching the docu, I thought that fashion was the direction that I wanted to take this project. Needless to say, some of my followers on and off flickr have raised this question, and I surely want to make them proud. Also, needless to say, searching for the fashionably dressed and well-coifed increases the amount of time I have to spend on my walks.
I saw my #57 Stranger in the Penn Quarter section of D.C. I could see her blue eyes from quite a distance and decided to move and get the photo. At first she didn't hear and almost blew past me as I interrupted on her walk. But, I was persistent in saying "Excuse me" until she acknowledged me. In her defense, D.C. is fully of crazies walking the streets, and in some instances, it's best not to speak to everyone you see on the streets. On the contrary, she responded, and this is the result. I know there are obvious things that I need to correct, but this is my first real attempt at getting full-body portraits. I would also like to point out that Boong, or B.Image357 is part of my inspiration, as he has rocked this style to its fullest for some time now. I definitely like to keep an eye on what he's doing. As I'm still learning this craft, I'm not ashamed to admit that I follow and imitate other people's work. Hey, it's the best form of flattery!
This is #57 in my 100 strangers project. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.100strangers.com/
1957 Ford Thunderbird “E” series roadster.
This was the 3rd and last year of the “little birds”. Franklin Q. Hershey is generally credited with the original 1955 design. This 1957 Thunderbird is very similar to the 1955 and 1956 models except for the rear-end treatment.
The Thunderbird was never marketed as a sports car like the Corvette was, but as a “personal luxury car”, a totally new market segment. The “E” series of this Thunderbird refers to a higher performance engine than the standard 1957 Thunderbird.

This bus was new to Lothian buses as 57 in 2002.
Seen here at Clenlockhart.
The 36 has now been extended to run via Lothian Road, Morningside and Clenlockhart, instead of Waverley Bridge, The Cannogate and the Parliament.
The new route 6 from St Andrew Square to the Parliament now covers the change to the 36.
Lothian have kept the Get There Greener livery and replaced the route vinyls to fit the new route.
