Die Paarung von Feuerlibellen findet meistens in der Luft statt und dauert nur ein paar Sekunden.

Sehr selten landen die beiden auch auf einem Ansitz. Leider dauerte die Paarung auch auf dem Stein nur ein paar Sekunden. Für eine bessere Ausrichtung langte die Zeit nicht, dass Männchen könnte im Brust und Kopfbereich etwas schärfer sein.
