I met a woman at the library to sell one of my calendars today.
She asked about the sharp tail grouse photos I've taken recently. I advised they've been roosting on some trees that I usually go to get waxwing photos and I was worried the grouse would eat all the berries before the waxwings show up.
After I sold the calendar, I walked out the door and just outside the door was a flock of 30 to 40 waxwings in a nearby tree.

Kahramanmaraş, Turkey
This batch of photos are from a trip to Malatya and Maraş in 2014 that I never ended up posting on Flickr. The region was recently struck by two major earthquakes that devastated 10 cities. I wanted to share my impressions of two of those cities from before parts of them were reduced to rubble, after some quick re-processing.
