Walk in Wetter (Ruhr), view towards Burg Wetter and Harkorthouse
Die Burg Wetter am Harkortsee auf etwa 100 Meter ü. NN in der Stadt Wetter (Ruhr) liegt im Bereich der historischen Freiheit Wetter auf einem Ausläufer des Ardeygebirges. Die märkischen Grafen verwalteten von hier aus ihre Besitzungen an der Ruhr.
Die Anlage besteht aus:Höhenburgruine, Burgturm, Ruine des Bergfrieds. Die Anlage ist Standort der Route Industriekultur.
Wetter Castle on Lake Harkort at about 100 metres above sea level in the town of Wetter (Ruhr) is located in the area of the historic Freiheit Wetter on a foothill of the Ardey Mountains. The counts of the Mark Brandenburg administered their estates on the Ruhr from here.
The complex consists of the castle ruins, the castle tower and the keep ruins. The site is part of the Industrial Culture Route.

a freshly rebuilt geep, on one of its first jobs back in service since it was rebuilt, on a rainy evening i think in sept 2001.

The Tigard Balloon Festival came to me this year! (around 6:40 a.m. PDT). In defense of my camera, it really was a solid grey-white sky. The festival publishes a list of participants so:

Trois-Ponts
Trois-Ponts - Gouvy, retourrit na schooltrein Gouvy - Trois-Ponts.
Een nostalgische foto van de P-trein ingelegd op schooldagen tussen Gouvy en Trois-Ponts. Deze bestond uit één M2 rijtuig gesleept door meestal een zware dieselloc reeks 55. Een loc reeks 62 was logischer voor deze dienst maar dit kwam zelden voor doordat de locs voor diensten vanuit Gouvy te licht uitvielen. In 1997 hadden we geluk. Loc 6260 had net de scholierentrein naar Trois-Ponts gebracht. Traditioneel zette de loc te Trois-Ponts om waarna leeg terug naar Gouvy gereden werd. Om ritten uit te sparen werd meermaals kreatief omgesprongen. Zo namen 2 55'ers de lege rit voor hun rekening. De zware diesellocs hadden even voordien een houttrein naar Trois-Ponts gebracht. Later op de dag keerden beide locs terug naar Trois-Ponts om de houttrein naar de klant in Büllingen op de Vennbahn te brengen.
