The light was so pretty yesterday down at the beach. It was a very pleasant walk for the middle of February unlike the day before where it was cold, windy and rainy. I have a video of that walk on my photostream.
I got lots of nice photos but I went with this one because I thought Della looked a little like a wolf and I think wolves are pretty cool.
Paddy amongst the hawkbits and back garden grasses. Been a wee bit hot to go on adventures as most of the doggy water sources (streams) have dried up .. rain tommorrow it is hoped!

52 Weeks for dogs.
Middle of the week she was sitting here and it was warm and mostly all grass. This is what we woke up to on Friday.
Smudge .... getting much more attentive these days to me which is a good trait as he's actually listening and obeying. I think also I might have found his forte ... unfortunately. depending on which way you look at it or whose side you're on, it appears to be canicross!

28/52: The weekly challenge - Long exposure
Two Jack lake, another beautiful lake in Banff. Less crowded than Lake Louise so made for a much more pleasant experience.
Beauty & the Beast

52 floors and 1 1/4 mile-it was an interesting trail hike but best was only encountering 4 other people.
A nice reflective one of Paddy caught behind some winter grasses whilst in the midst of Wark Forest, a large coniferous woodland in Northumberland. He was quite sated and calm, hence the calm gaze at this stage as we had done about 10 miles, only 2 more to go.
Just a quick snapshot in the bushes this week. I think we will be away until Monday afternoon so an early entry. Have a good weekend everyone.
Windy and cool down at the beach the other night but at least it was sunny.
For some reason Della is picking up Tug's old habits. She is starting to find things to eat on the beach. She never used to do that. If I am close enough and she can hear me she will drop whatever she has.
Della has never had to be on a leash except when we are walking on streets. Her recall was always amazing and she never strayed too far from me. However with her hearing getting so bad I have to keep a very close eye on her. She has never been so into smells as she is now. She gets her head down and starts sniffing and gets distracted. If I am not where she can look up and find me you can tell she gets a bit nervous. It might be time to start leashing her up even on our beach walks.
Two woodpigeons enjoying afternoon tea. 😀
I'm using this archive shot for ANSH 107 (5) sharing - I just ran out of time to get this one.
We started for home yesterday and stopped at the Badlands. So gorgeous. Spent most of the day driving the loop and looking at the most gorgeous landscape. Got a nice picture of Dave and Maggie.

52 Weeks of Dogs
What if I squeezed myself into any shape
And I still don't fit?
What if I get to the place that I think is home
And I don’t belong?

I thought it was clearing up as we headed down to the beach yesterday afternoon. We left the house and it started drizzling but in the ten minutes it took to get to the beach it had stopped. The lighting was soft and blue looking as Della posed for me where the tide was going out.
Della is 14 1/2 now so this year's album will probably be more photos of her in her surroundings.
Most people think of Long Island as very flat but we live on the North Shore which is very hilly. As you can see by the shoreline it is quite wooded and has tons of little harbors and coves that feed out into Long Island Sound.
It's a nice place to live but a pain in the neck to get off of! Because we are an island there are only so many ways off and on and all of them usually involve tons of traffic.
So nice to see some new faces here and the return of some familiar faces.
Week 22 in 52 Weeks for Dogs. Tasku always gets two biscuits when she gets on her bed at night so when I asked her to jump on her bed this afternoon she fully expected the same.
Made with an image of my Moroccan candle lamp and wall reflection, edited with a fractal and then flipped and used in a montage of 8 images....just a bit of fun! 😊
Merry Crimbo to you all 🎄🎅

I decided to post just a simple portrait of Dusty this week. Kind of to show who he is and where he is in his development. He is now 4 1/2 months old and just over 30 pounds. He looks less and less like a plush toy and more like a dog every day.
I'm looking forward to sharing his first year and his life with all of you.
