Rare KTT 500 road racer, DOHC 500cc single. The KTTs had the distinction of using pneumatic rear suspensions while most competitors were still running hardtails, also the first motorcycle to use a positive-stop sequential foot-shifting gearbox, that is, one down four up. Made from 1938 -- 1950. An older Cycle World article stated that there were only four of these bikes in North America.

My old 1969 Triumph Tiger 100 T100SS (500cc twin).
I bought this as a project from a friend who was selling it having invested in a much bigger project; a steam roller!
This photo taken with some kind of instamatic camera was a record before I pulled it all apart again to rebuild the frame. I'd all but finished the engine with a couple of annoying niggles to sort but I wasn't happy with the frame.
As it turned out a change in job and a much longer run to work necessitated a more dependable mount so I sadly let it go. It was probably the easiest bike I ever rode, it was a doddle to ride, light, nimble and free revving. Note the SB Megatron reverse-cone megaphone. I spent a happy week getting the back pressure just right with various restrictors. And it sounded an absolute treat!
In the mid seventies of screaming two strokes, this produced a healthy, throaty crackle which got "thumbs up" from the old boys sat on the bench in the main street at lunch time. Happy days!
Eventually I moved on to a UJM (Universal Japanese Motorcycle) like my friends had but my greatest regret was never finishing the job on this one.

Fond memories from a film scan (apologies for poor quality)
The year was 1995 Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix (500cc) at Eastern Creek (now Sydney Motorsport park) west of Sydney Australia
1st Mick Doohan
2nd Daryl Beattie
I was lucky enough to capture the hand hold with the two flags, unfortunately I have lost the negative, but thought I could scan a digital version for history!

MRF Supercross Championship had its First round of the FMSCI championship in Goa at Panjim.
Campal parade Ground was the venue and a hard crusty dusty track had been laid out. The event was mid day pre noon and the sun beat mercilessly on the officials, the photographers and the people on the track.
