Bender 4x5 kit.
T-Trak rail mod. Very solid. The only issue is that when you loosen the knobs to adjust the focus, there is also play in the shift and swing.

This large ugly has three lens options
120mm f4.5-f50 no shutter
150mm f4.5-f45 copal shutter
250mm f8-f128 no shutter
It also has an internal homemade bellows to stop light leaks and to allow extension for the various lens focal lengths and for focusing onto a ground glass screen.
I wish I could say: "lesson learned", but unfortunately haven't got a clue what went wrong. I sent three sheets to the lab, this one was at the bottom of the sheetfilm box and was the only one which still had some contrast. I suspect some idiot at the lab of opening the box and not telling anyone.....I just can't think of anything I did wrong myself
This is the first shot I got after I rescued my beloved speed graphic 4x5. The other day, my speed graphic (along with Aero-Ektar) fell from the tripod collar, of about 6-foot high. By the time it smashed the hard ground, my heart broken too. When I carefully examine it, I was amazed that the lens is 100% damage free, what a robust build quality the Kodak Aero-Ektar is! However, my speed graphic is heavily harmed, the viewfinder, which touched the ground first, was completely smashed. Since I never use it, OK, I can live w/o it, not a big deal. The front lens board frame is largely bent, that I had to spend some time to correct it, it was restored to a degree to accept lens board again, yeah!
A bigger problem, the front frame is now off the track. I ended up spending a longer time to take apart the big chunk of camera in order to put it back. I had personally fixed many minor camera issues myself, so at end of the day, was able to fix this, and now my speed graphic is back to live again.
The last problem, the panel shutter now only works for 1/25 and 1/50 but not other speeds, the curtain feels like stuck when try to switch to the higher level. I did not realize this until I brought this camera to the field for a shooting task. I had to settle with either 1/25 or 1/50 speeds for all my shots, which says that I had to step down my AE aperture from wide open for proper exposure. I am going to work on this shutter issue tonight, given I had fixed curtain shutter problem before, I should be able to get this resolved.
This old-timer vintage camera is just full of fun!
