Working with Chris W. i got the rest of my transmission covers in straight off the GM shelves, so I got all I need now to put my engine and tranny to be married up properly. In my opinion the little covers are all a good thing... Why no one makes the effort to get all this little stuff is beyond me.

GM's corporate V6, displacing 2.8 litres (173 cid) topped by a 2GC, probably the worst carb GM ever made! It's massive 120 hp and 200 lb/ft of torque was managed by a 700R4 four speed automatic. This was the grandfather of the 4L60E tranny in my Buick. Actually, this engine's the ascendant of the Z24's 3.1L fuelie! Cool! Learn a lot about workin' on cars on this pig. Yea, a lot!!
The ultimate sleeper.. all stock.. LS1/ 4l60e combo going in this winter. all it needs is brakes and suspension...

"Finally got all the rust repaired- floors, toe board, inner and outer cowls and metal around rear fenders. Mustang II, ford 9 inch and lowered rear leaf springs. Getting ready to put in 5.3 ls and 4l60e."
