Alfa Romeo 4C Spyder at Vaduz

Volkel, 22 October 1981.

One of my oldest slides, taken in 1981 during a spotters' day at Volkel airbase (Netherlands). There were two visiting recce Phantoms from Alconbury. The weather was %^$@! - as usual.

This was a 'J79 only' day as the F-104s were not yet replaced by F-16s. Not a single F-16 was seen! ;-)

68-0557 was converted to QRF-4C drone and wasted in November 2010.

"Images of legendary sports cars both glorious and victorious. The roar of their engines. The noise of the crowd along the track. Genuine enthusiasm and passion.

The Alfa Romeo 4C was born from the purest Alfa Romeo spirit. A unique car, both in design and technology, created to excite the driver, both on the tracks and on the roads. Now, every passionate driver's dream can be realised..."
