Sometimes to take a proper bath you need your cat and your wiener....
I wasn't planning on this, but as i was playing with jasmine and trying something different for her weekly picture, Oliver decided to join in and at that point it was too good to pass up. lol
Finding colour on a grey day
I had planned to avoid using my phone for my 365 (not that there's anything wrong with doing so but wanted the discipline of using my camera) but now the charger isn't working and I have three flat batteries.....
Pictures, eating, editing, driving. Good day.
^My favorite from today
I actually I went swimming in the water, very cold. But I was numb, I couldn't feel it:)

CC week 22 portrait vs landscape
I tried both versions of this plant against a wall. I don't know which is better - the landscape version has more flowers so is more colourful, but I think the portrait version is a slightly better composition.

Heading south at Stokesay as support for The Great Britain XIV which had passed some 5 minutes earlier.
I had intended to use this one for yesterday's photo. As with many things in life outside forces intervened and a change in plans was required.

52 Weeks: 2024 Edition: Week 47: Incomplete
15th June 2017 - General Dynamics F-16A Block 10C 'FA-47', the gate guard at Florennes air base since its retirement in 2008.
It's Flynn's favourite time of year - late Autumn, when the woods gift all good collies with a million fluttery, crinkly leafy toys to play with! The woods are probably at their best right now (according to Flynn, anyway!) - piles of leaves litter the paths & they've not yet been stamped down & rained on, so they're easily kick-able & catch-able. This week, he's spent most of his outdoors time skipping backwards in front of me, watching in wide-eyed delight as, with each step I take, yet more leaves get tossed in the air. It is apparently a source of endless delight for Flynn.
After a while of just watching the leaves being kicked towards him, Flynn gets so wild with excitement at all the movement & rustley, crunchy sounds, that he just has to bite something! He knows my toes aren't an option, so he grabs a leaf (or sometimes a whole mouthful of them) & carries it for a while, shaking it every now & again & growling. Eventually, the chosen leaf gets too tattered to be much fun, so it's dropped - but joy: there's always another, new leaf, ready to be pounced on & carried about! Flynn's so obsessed with leaf watching & leaf biting, that he ignores pretty much everything else going on around him, even the pesky squirrels. I've seen them dart right past him & he doesn't even glance their way (which clearly surprises the squirrels!). They sit on the edge of the path & watch him pass, looking uncertain if they need to worry about the very weird dog going by!

Amazingly enough... This photo was taken while driving passenger in our car, at approx. 50+ MPH down the White Horse Pike! Taken on our ride home from our Mother's Day shopping/lunch trip we took Juan's Mom on yesterday (05/11/2021). We had a beautiful day!
On the drive home I had my camera in hand and I was snapping photos right before this one of a horse farm.. We were approaching a bridge that goes over a swampy area - when you're entering Hammonton.. I was about to begin photographing the swamp -high speed - in motion captures (I do this sometimes while we're driving and I am often surprised when I get a really great shot)...
>>But THE BIRD PHOTOS I captured blew my mind!
The focus was so great... (Especially considering we were traveling at a pretty high rate of speed!) I do NOT have a zoom lens... 18-55mm. (I am taking my time shopping for one, I want to make the perfect decision- before I make that big purchase.)
HOWEVER, this is certainly one of the best bird shots I've taken yet!! & I'm VERY SURPRISED!
>>Not having a zoom lens.. I haven't been able to capture a photo this good standing still - so you can imagine my shock! But, THIS WAS A VERY LARGE BIRD! - (some type of crane I assume) I'm sure some of you guys will know the name of this bird! Please let me know in the comments, thanks!

I've been quite busy. So yeah I will return them eventually, please be patient! :) It might just take me a few days..

The March to Spalding section of the former GN & GE joint line which closed in 1982 is widely acknowledged as being a short sighted candidate for closure. Congestion caused by freight traffic having to use the ECML at Peterborough illustrates this and rumours of a possible reopening have abounded for years now. In the days when the alternative route was still well used, with March North box in the background, 47141 heads north with a train of tankers running in the path of 6G55 14.10 Royston - Lindsey O.R. May 5th 1981. This loco is better known in its former guise as D1733, the first loco to trial the BR blue livery soon after building in the Summer of 1964.
