I did it! I went back tonight, a different route than last night, to a place where I knew there would be lots of hills and open sky to work with. Thanks so much Meg & Flynn for the inspiration.
I have to say, 3 photoshoots and lots and lots of pictures later, I finally nailed it. And I learned whole bunch too!

For the Through the Lens week 47 of Gratitude. I am grateful for warm fresh air, the setting sun, sea, sand, waves and the company of good friends when out photographing nature's beauty.
Cape Woolamai sunset. I am grateful I am able to do this sort of thing reasonably easily.
This car has been in my neighbourhood apparently for over 50 years according to a neighbour who lives nearby but it was always covered up and I had no idea what was hiding underneath the tarp. I used to walk by this car every two or three months for probably five years hoping to see what was hiding beneath the tarp. Today I found out, it's a 1946-47 Packard Clipper with a straight 8 engine. The old boy who owned it lived in the house for nearly 70 years. I found out from a neighbour that he passed away three years ago and his estate was being taken care of by his daughter's. I have no idea what is going to happen to the cars. The house is designated as a Heritage Home so it can't be demolished but it will require tons of money to restore it. The licence plate on it is from 1958. This was a 2 for 1 day...see the Jaguar photo.

La "Maison de Balzac" est un peu plus loin. Cet ancien hôtel particulier de Passy où vécut l'écrivain de 1841 à 1847 comporte deux issues : une sur la rue Raynouard (en haut), une sur la rue Berton (en bas). C'était pratique pour Balzac qui, endetté, fuyait ses créanciers. Lorsque les huissiers venaient le saisir au n° 47 rue Raynouard (l'entrée principale) , il avait le temps de s’échapper par la porte du n°24 rue Berton.
