Bahamas is a mainline registered locomotive and is visiting the Nene Valley Railway.
The Train and Support crew from the Bahamas Locomotive Society were very friendly and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions they must have been asked a hundred times before.

Pictured on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway at Oxenhope station is the circa 1935 built "Bahamas". Designed by Sir William Stanier it was built in Scotland by the North British Locomotive Company.
After many hours of frantic activity by volunteers, Haworth yard appears calm and peaceful on the eve of Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s steam gala on 10th March 2022. All ready for the following morning’s busy schedule of services are, from left: London Midland and Scottish Railway Jubilee Class No. 45596 ‘Bahamas’; Taff Vale Railway Class 02 0-6-2T No. 85; Great Western Railway Collett 5700 class 0-6-0PT 'pannier tank' No. 7714; LMS No. 46100 'Royal Scot’; and Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Class 25 0-6-0 No. 52044.

Mid Hants with 45596 - Bahamas. Just over a week ago I posted an image of this loco during sunset. At the time we were lucky to get 4 runs - the first two with the sun still up, the 3rd with the sun partially down and final 4th run with the sun completely down. Here are runs 2, 3 and 4 (DSC 4256)

A light breeze dissipates the smoke as London Midland and Scottish Railway Jubilee Class No. 45596 'Bahamas' eases into Haworth Station during Keighley and Worth Valley heritage railway’s steam gala on 11th March 2022. This loco was constructed in 1934 by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow and withdrawn from traffic in 1966.
Thanks to a sympathetic businessman’s £3,000 loan to cover the purchase, and high-level intervention within British Rail, the loco was saved from the scrapyard by the Bahamas Locomotive Society.
In not so Bahamic weather conditions at Masters Crossing, Steam Train 45596 Bahamas makes its way through the Wiltshire and Somerset countryside with The Railway Touring Company's West Somerset Steam Express on Saturday 22nd July 2023.

With the days duties complete and no work planned for the following day the remnants off the firebox were raked and washed out.

Preserved Jubilee Class Steam Locomotive 45596 'Bahamas', shot approaching Hartford at speed.
The Locomotive was on a positioning Journey, with just it's support coach in tow,
Built in 1935, and withdrawn from service in 1966, it's currently registered for Main Line operations in 2019.
Stunning watching an locomotive working at speed, I think this particular class of locomotive is atheistically perfect, some fantastic thing :)

The 2023 Keighley & Worth Valley Winter Steam Gala created the rare chance of photographing double-headed Jubilees on the 14.40 Keighley to Oxenhope. Here 45690 'Leander' & resident 45596 'Bahamas' make a fine sight crossing Mytholmes Viaduct before plunging into the tunnel.
