The outside of the Federation Square building on Flinders Street, Melbourne, Australia. I took this by looking up to catch the reflections of the sky in the windows and to angle the buildings wall.

Thursday 21st November 2013.

I've been admiring the flowers growing in the rubble near the flat for a while now. In all fairness, I thought that this cold would have killed them already, and was worried that I'd missed my chance of shooting them. I was pleasantly surprised today to find one little yellow flower standing. What good timing :)

2016 and she's still standing. Bent over, crippled up, but standing. I'm not sure at what point I will decide she is not standing. One day it might just vanish, seemingly overnight. Rumor that a round-a-bout will occupy this area shortly. We will see.

Although the Su-45 has vastly increased battlefield survivability thanks to modern countermeasure systems and the fact that it’s basically a flying tank, the frontal aviation still have the highest loss rate in the West-Russian Air Force. However, it is the older versions of the Su-25 that make up the bulk of these losses. Flying close air support over the front lines in any given armed conflict, the pilots in the West-Russian Frontal Aviation are often exposed to enemy SAMs and AAA. Despite the casualties, there is no doubt the Frontal Aviation play an important role supporting both Eurusian and Allied ground forces. Known by USR and DRR forces as “Hunchbacks”, the Su-45 is a serious headache for enemy infantry and vehicle crews alike.

Josef Albers (March 19, 1888 – March 25, 1976[1]) was a German-born American artist and educator whose work, both in Europe and in the United States, formed the basis of some of the most influential and far-reaching art education programs of the 20th century (Wikipedia). This quilt is reminiscent of Albers' abstract style, and was designed by Austin, Texas Quilter Malka Dubrawsky as an homage to Josef and his wife, Weaver Anni Albers.

valentines day :(

I seriously dislike valentines day. It is a bogus day made for couples to spend way to much money on each other, and make single people feel alone. If you really loved someone you would show it all day, every day, all year. Not jam packed into one stressful day in the form of a bunch of flowers and a cheap $2 card from hallmark. I for one would rather not partake in paying for Mr. Hallmark's kids to go to college. Yeh, maybe a little bitter :)

Also if you could vote for me in this competition. That would be awesome!

.45 caliber race gun, modified to survive the rigors of combat.

A highly customizable sidearm developed by a Canadian company by the name of Trillius Armaments Limited.

Inspired by the old Inglis Hi-Power design, this pistol was initially chambered for a special .22 round, designated the SA-22, built solely for recreational and competition shooting.

However, the Canadian Army sought a newer, high capacity sidearm to replace the old Sig Sauer P226 that was in service 3 years prior to its introduction. Celia Kusanagi, one of the designers at Trillius, responded with the SA-45, an up-scaled version of the SA-22.

With a superior magazine capacity to 9mm sidearms and chambered for the larger .45 caliber round, this weapon was quickly adopted by the Canadian Army two years after its introduction, with at least 50000 units purchased.

It features a two piece slide, with the front slide with port holes to accommodate ported barrels usually seen on the AF-45 fully automatic models. The SA-45 also takes advantage of newer materials, lessening weight and costs. The grip plates can also be mixed and matched to suit the user's preferences - the side plates can be replaced with a special stock, while the front plate with finger grooves can be replaced with a flat grip plate.

It also became a fast favorite for home defense and police use, especially the SA-45 Short, due to its compact size, which is perfect for concealed carry.

In addition to different variants, the SA series were also offered in different chamberings, such as 9mm, .32 ACP, .357 Magnum, .380 ACP, .40 S&W, .44 Magnum, .50 Action Express, and 5.7mm. These were designated the SA-9, SA-32, SA-357, SA-380, SA-40, SA-44, SA-50, and SA-57 respectively. Other chamberings not listed here are also available on request.

Aside from the different caliber variations, there were some models built to fire in three-round bursts and even full-auto, designated the TS and AF series respectively. Aftermarket MC tactical chassis kits were also sold after the TS and AF's introduction, and is fully compatible with its existing accessories.

Lastly, the decals' color can be customized to order, but most retail models only feature light blue.
