Visited The Cheltenham Badlands on a sunny Fall day with my Dad. Felt like the perfect place to take my weekly portrait!

DAF 45 in Bonn, Germany.

With the merger of Leyland and DAF, the Leyland Roadrunner was sold as a DAF on European markets. By 1991, these were branded as the DAF 45.

Mirfield Station

On a dull and overcast day Class 45 45102 (formerly D51) speeds through the station with 1M75 13.55 Scarborough to Liverpool express. I saw this engine many times at Holbeck, Mirfield, Toton - and was pulled by it between Leeds and Huddersfield during 1985

It was the 1st of January and we were walking at night in flip-flops and light jumper as if it was spring. What a wonderful way to start the year?! The average winter temprerature in Lanzarote (Canary Islands) is around 20°C.

This was taken in Playa Blanca, a former fishing village now transformed in a vibrant resort boasting two marinas, a coastal pathway as well as pleasant bays and beaches. Its vibrancy and vitality reflects in the colours of this long exposure picture taken from the coastal pathway.

Eu simplesmente AMEI essas miniaturas do Bob Esponja =D

É um kit com 5, ganhei de páscoa, mas até agora, só consegui abrir um, os outros vou ter que esperar até domingo >_<'

Meu pai adorou a miniatura de toca-disco e LP xD

E eu me apaixonei pela, hm... Coisa do Gary xD Não sei o que é isso, mas enfim...

I had to really play with this one in post processing to pick up the grapes!

When Andrea & I vacationed in Italy back in 1999, we checked out some great market in Rome with lots of used and antique-y vintage-y stuff. Found this 45 record in a record bin. Love the design. Have always cherished it.

Day 45: A much nicer day than it looks in this picture! This was just leftover dewy-ness from last night. I played catch with my sister in the backyard today. It was so much fun. I miss playing softball!

So today there I was minding my own business shooting 45 Fremont in downtown San Francisco when all of a sudden a Shorenstein Company employee security guard decides to give me the finger in my photographs of the building. Next thing you know I get the typical hassle. Except normally when the guards come out all polite like and all this guy instead comes out middle finger a blazing and telling me that I'm not allowed to photograph the building from the public space.

He goes on to tell me how he doesn't like to have his photograph taken, etc. (hint, if you don't like your photograph taken, probably best not to come swaggering out of a public building middle finger a blazin', remember any old asshole can have a blog these days). And insists on telling me how if I want to photograph the building I'm going to need to get approval from building management. blah, blah, blah.

Well, this guy got off on the wrong foot with me in the first place so I politely inform him that despite his objections that I'm on public property and as such have every right to photograph whatever I want and if he'd like he can feel free to call the police and the three of us can have a conversation. Of course he asks me why I need to be such an asshole and I remind him that he was the one giving me the bird, etc. etc. All I am is a lowly photography hobbyist but that since he was being so nice and all that he could look forward to his photo being on the internet.

He asks me if I *really* want him to call the police. Again, I answer nicely, yes.

Unfortunately I have no further details for this image taken by my late father Douglas Tomes.

The SMG-45 is a .45 ACP submachine gun that shares the concept as that of the FMG-9. It is meant to be a concealable submachine gun that can be hidden in broad daylight as a small briefcase or spare laptop battery.

If given a choice, would you go back in time or go forward in time?

Right now, I would say go back in time.
