Ein bisschen Planverkehr muss auch Mal sein: Eine Doppeltraktion 446 fährt mit 446 017 an der Spitze an den Bickenbacher bzw. Hähnleiner Felder vorbei.
...como la nieve no viene, la traigo yo... Con un invierno como el de este año apenas estamos viendo nevar en Gipuzkoa, así que buscando en archivo, recupero esta instantánea de hace un par de años. En la imagen la 446.100 sobre el viaducto de Ormaiztegi.
Una doble de 446...aparentemente nada especial. Pero desde que se estableció la C4 entre Colmenar y Parla ahora es muy difícil ver 446 en dicha línea. Cosa que antes era lo más habitual, pues dominaban la línea compartiendo servicio con los 450. Ahora los 465 les han tomado el relevo e imágenes como estas se repiten pocas veces. Desde un prado reseco por el calor de este verano adelantado mientras un pastor buscaba una res que se le había escapado; estas dos 446 de serie baja escapan de Colmenar, al fondo de la foto, destacando la Basílica de la Asunción y la plaza de toros

"Normalność" w Krajach Nadbałtyckich?
Przypadkowo wpadłem dziś na news, że daleko daleko na północy naszego kontynentu zarządcy i przewoźnicy w Krajach Nadbałtyckich poczyniły pewne przełomowe uzgodnienia dotyczące ułatwienia podróży między dwoma stolicami sąsiednich krajów, czyli między Tallinem {Estonia] i Rygą [Łotwa].
W dniu dzisiejszym wyruszył bezpośredni pociąg łączący Tallin z Rygą, który obsługiwany będzie estońską jednostką przewoźnika Elron tożsamą jak na załączonym zdjęciu. Dotychczas podróż możliwa była wyłącznie z przesiadką na granicznej stacji Valga, na pociąg jadący dalej na Litwę (a obsługiwany przez PESA Elf należącego dla LTG Link).
Start dzisiejszego połączenia do ucywilizowanie podróżowania między tymi małymi krajami oraz większe otwarcie dla turystów, którzy chcą odwiedzić te kraje.
Ja osobiście byłem tam w lipcu ubiegłego roku i musiałem skorzystać z wersji z przesiadką i podróż była obarczona, że pociąg mam jeden o konkretnej godzinie i konieczne było tak ułożenie planu zwiedzania, aby możliwe było skorzystanie z tego połączenia. Od dziś będą dostępne aż 3 kursy pomiędzy Tallinem, a Rygą (2 z przesiadką, 1 bezpośrednie).
Wyjazdy z Tallina ułożono na godziny: 10:25 (kurs z przesiadką z opcją podróży do Wilna), 13:33 (kurs z przesiadką), 14:40 (kurs bezpośredni). Powroty wyglądają następująco: 07:38 (kurs bezpośredni), 09:31 (kurs z przesiadką), 11:40 (kurs z przesiadką z opcją podróży z Wilna).
Trzymam kciuki za dalszy rozwój oferty, która prawdopodobnie pojawi się wraz z oddawaniem kolejnych etapów trasy Rail Baltica.

“Normality” in the Baltic Countries?
Today, I accidentally found a news about the agreemenets on north of our continent, administrators and carriers in the Baltic Countries which facilitate travel between the two capitals of neighboring countries, between Tallinn (Estonia) and Riga (Latvia).
Today, a direct train connecting Tallinn and Riga was launched, which will be operated by the Estonian operator - Elron, as shown in the attached photo. Until now, travel was only possible with a change at the border station in Valga, where passengers had to transfer to a train continuing to Lithuania (operated by PESA Elf, owned by LTG Link).
The launch of today's connection will make travel between these small countries more civilized and more open to tourists who want to visit them.
I was there myself in July last year and had to use the connection option, which meant that I had to plan my sightseeing around the train schedule, as there was only one train at a specific time. From today, there will be as many as three connections between Tallinn and Riga (two with a transfer and one direct).
Departures from Tallinn are scheduled for: 10:25 a.m. (train with a transfer and the option to travel to Vilnius), 1:33 p.m. (train with a transfer), and 2:40 p.m. (direct train). Return trips are as follows: 7:38 a.m. (direct trip), 9:31 a.m. (trip with a transfer), 11:40 a.m. (trip with a transfer and the option to travel from Vilnius).
I am keeping my fingers crossed for further development of the offer, which will probably appear with the completion of subsequent stages of the Rail Baltica route.
