In exchange for Versas 64 and 65 going, two brand new Enviro200 MMC 10.8m vehicles are arriving into the fleet for use on service 446. 2 of the current vehicles on the 446 will move to service 01.
These vehicles will be numbered 64 and 65 to fill the gap left by the Versas. They will have livery applied early next month and enter service shortly after. They are stock vehicles and very similar to shorter, existing fleet members 57-61, including Mobitec next-stop announcements which this time features a TFT screen as opposed to LED scrolling text.

die RB nach Frankfurt wird in Bickenbach in Gleis 3 ausgeleitet, da der IC in Gleis 1 durchfahren soll und die RB einmal wieder verspätet ist
218 446 war heute mit einer Schwesterlok beauftragt den RE nach Kempten zu bringen. Hier bei Kottgeisering
HSL 446 was on the road from 1946 until 1997 when it was stored and worked on at Cottam in Nottinghamshire. In 2016 it was bought by it's current owners and taken to Blakeney in Norfolk where various repairs were undertaken to keep the car roadworthy, safe and reliable.
The biggest job was replacing the crankshaft. The chassis is in excellent condition for it's age and only required a small amount of welding. The owner now classifies the car as 'sound, reliable but not immaculate'.
In the summer and on dry days throughout the year the car is used on a daily basis. Running costs are low with 30 to 40 miles per gallon attainable. On the downside crosswinds, bumpy roads and hill are difficult and with a low cruising speed of between 40 and 50 miles per hour, it's necessary to 'pull over' when needed to avoid queues building up behind.
