This 1885 Gothic Revival church is located in the San Rafael neighborhood and has long served the homeless and needy population in Denver. Part of Historic Denver’s Sacred Landmarks program, the building was restored from its once dilapidated condition by Historic Denver and SlaterPaull Architects. For its successful restoration, the project earned the Colorado Historical Society’s 2010 Stephen H. Hart Award. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is located in the National Register San Rafael Historic District.
Restoration work on this building was partially funded by a State Historic Fund grant. As part of the grant contract, a perpetual façade easement was donated to Historic Denver, Inc.
