Ferrari 430 Scuderia
Photo taken on the circuit of Zandvoort (The Netherlands) during the Maarten Memorial 2012. Event where all the collected money goes to charity.
Colour: Rosso Corsa (probably).
That's third 430 Scuderia I ever seen. Typical supercar for events like Track Days. This one I saw in Katowice, Poland before Gran Turismo Slovakia 2015. I like "common" configuration on that car - red exterior with silver stripes and yellow calipers behind grey painted rims.

This week, I found a few cars to take photos of - the Lamborghini Diablo SV and the Ferrari 430 Scuderia. I focused on the air vents in the front on the Diablo, and on the front splitter on the 430. To get an interesting angle on the Diablo, I went below the level of the vent to take a photo from the bottom of the front of the car. I took some photos of the vent from the top, but for some reason I really like the differences in the shot from below much better. While taking the photo of the front splitter, I was thinking of a way to creatively take the photo. I thought I would kneel down, and take a photo of the carbon fiber part with the side of the body to show the differences between the two, and I thought I executed it pretty well in that way. I took a few from different angles, but it seemed the 'straight on' photo came out the best and showed the detail the best. Also, this week I wanted to go back to the diptych theme, and I used photos that I took at Russo and Steele several weeks back. This time I took photos of different parts of the car, rather than same place with difference focus on both. The white car, or the Excalibur, I took a photo of the turn signal with the body in the background, and the vents going to the engine on the outside of the car. When putting them together in a diptych, it gives more of an idea of what the car is like, than just one single part of the car. On the red car with the exhaust pipes, I took a photo of each side (4 on both sides), and tried to take the photos in the same location, but didn't quite get it, but I thought it was close. My focus on this photo was almost a panoramic theme. Since I was going for that, I squeezed the photos together a little more than I did on the previous diptych, but still created space to make it a diptych, rather than stitching the photos together. I thought I did pretty well this week, and I will continue trying to use the diptych theme more often in my assignments.
