LA&L 428 & 425 are kicking up the snow as they lead the morning train from Lakeville at Pole Bridge Road in Avon, NY on December 30, 2014. That pack of bottled water on the nose of 428 should be nice and cold.
LA&L 428 & 433 kick up the snow on the Northbound road train with 48 cars at Golah Road in Rush, NY on February 19, 2021.
I went up to Lakeville on July 5, 2019 in hopes that they would run the road train. They did run, and left Lakeville with 26 cars. They picked up 9 more at Avon and then the weather got bad, with severe thunder storms. Here they are in the pouring rain at Elm Place in West Rush, NY. I got wet!
Begin deze week reed de 110 428 twee dagen op de RB37 tussen Krefeld en Neuss. Reden genoeg om een bezoekje te brengen aan het Ruhrgebied.
Sinds afgelopen december rijdt TRI op de RB37. In het begin deden zij dit met een 145, helaas reed er daarna erg lang een Taurus voor de trein. Doordat de 182 505 voor reparatie 2 dagen niet inzetbaar was, kwam voor die periode de fraaie 110 428 voor de trein.
Om 17:17 kwam de 110 428 met RB37 langs de maar drie Nederlandse fotografen in Bösinghoven onderweg naar Neuss Hbf.

LA&L 428 and 425 lead a short train of 4 cars through the brown woods at MP363 at Papermill Road in Avon, NY on April 3, 2020. The train would fill out to 15 cars with the Barilla and Howletts pickups.

LA&L 428 & 433 cross Honeoye Creek with a Northbound road train of 38 cars in Rush, NY on February 16, 2021. I wanted a Winter shot here with decent snow and we finally got enough of it to cover the ground and then some. I tentatively inched my way out on the ice into the middle of Honeoye Creek to get the desired angle I wanted. That is moving water under the ice, so it can get thin in a hurry.
LA&L 428 & 433 are in the small Genesee Jct. yard in Chili, NY on March 19, 2021. They will drop any cars for CSX in the yard and then pull forward and enter the RSR main before making a reverse move up to Brooks yard,
With R&S job BL-1 in the clear with B&P 626, the LA&L road train with 428 & 433 shoves into Brooks Yard in Gates, NY on February 16, 2021. The snow that the area received at that time was the most that we had all Winter.

LA&L 428 crosses Route 5 & 20 at Avon, NY on December 16, 2019. The afternoon start time for the road train makes it tough to shoot as it's mostly backlit. I was also hoping for some snow on the ground. The ground is covered at home, just 5 miles from Lakeville, but there was only a smattering of snow in Lakeville, and none at Avon.
It's stick season in Western New York with typical December gloom. A trio of LA&L Alco's is still worth a few pics however. LA&L 428 - 433 - 425 lead a train of 20 cars at Littleville Road in Avon, NY on December 27, 2019. There must be a lot of cars coming back South, which would make 3 units necessary.
LA&L 428 & 433 lead 19 cars North and through the woods at MP363 near Papermill Road in Avon, NY on December 21, 2020.
Bei Haindorf, nördlich von Nabburg, ergibt sich ein schöner, erhöhter Blick auf das Naabtal und die dort verlaufende Bahnstrecke von Hof nach Regensburg. Auch die für die Region durchaus typischen kleinen Weiher sind hier zu finden. Am 17.03.2025 zeigte sich der Himmel in der Region zunächst noch ziemlich bewölkt, doch nachmittags blieben davon nur noch ein paar Wolken zur Dekoration übrig und 218 428 kam mit RE 4863 bei Sonne vorbei.

The milk can and weather vane are in the parking area of the apartments here, and it just looked like a different angle I should try.

LA&L 428 & 425 kick up the fresh snow at Papermill Road in Avon, NY with a train of 10 cars on January 29, 2021. While much of the Northeast seems to get plenty of snow, the area South of Rochester can't seem to get more than an inch or two when it does snow. With temps in the high 30's the next couple of days, what we have will be gone soon.

The LA&L road train is headed into Genesee Junction as it crosses the Genesee River bridge with LA&L 428 & 433 leading 14 cars on March 19, 2021. It was a totally cloudless day and worth getting the train in the few spots where it is in good light.
