FL FEC 428 Stuart
Florida East Coast Railway 428 Freight Train - traveling over the FEC Railway Bridge in Stuart - just as the sunset was occurring.
I am posting some more photos of the train scene below - quite a long procession of freight rail cars being pulled over a long period of time.
An example of right place right time - this scenario probably only replays a few days each year - that this train passes this spot at the moment the sun is setting - and that there is such a spectacular sunset.
I wasn't there to photograph the train - it just came by while I was there.
Since this was taken the high speed line between Miami and Orlando operates along -side the slow moving freight trains. It also stops traffic 20 plus times a day in all of the small towns it passes through where it doesn't stop; backing up traffic and disrupting life all day long. Six pedestrians died during testing but oh well. I'm sure less people are dying now. It's very convenient, I'm halfway between the towns and I can drive an hour to get to a train stop, park my car, pay a fee and buy a ticket and ride for an hour on the train to Orlando, or drive to Orlando directly in 1 1/2 hours; let's see...................

Nach coronabedingter Pause verkehren 2022 wieder Turnuszüge in die Skigebiete nach Österreich. Wie vor der Pandemie gibt es auch dieses Jahr wieder einen Zug aus Den Haag in den Niederlanden, der einen Zugteil nach Bludenz und einen nach Bischofshofen führt. Am 12.02.2022 übernahm TRI 110 428 die Traktion zunächst bis Wörgl, setzte dann um ans andere Zugende und fuhr mit den für Bischhofshofen bestimmten Wagen als 14115 über die Giselabahn. Bei Pfaffenschwendt wurde der Zug vor der Kulisse des Wilden Kaisers (rechts im Hintergrund) und des Kitzbühler Horns (links) fotografiert.
Mit dem einen Teil des Alpenexpress war die blaue TRI 110 428 auf der Giselabahn am Ortseingang von Kitzbühel zu sehen. Den zweiten Teil nach Bludenz bespannte die Lokomotion 185 666.
Die letzten beiden Samstage war auf dem Zug ab Kornwestheim leider nur noch ein schwarzer Taurus vorgespannt.
Mit dem stark verspäteten Alpenexpress war die 110 428 im Morgenlicht kurz vor dem Kloster Reisach im deutschen Inntal zu sehen.

Das Highlight des Tages war ohne Zweifel die 110 428 von TRI. Mit dem Alpenexpress fuhr die Bügelfalte in Richtung Zell am See. Im Hintergrund erhebt sich der Wilde Kaiser.

Am 27.02.22 war der letzte Tag für den Ersatzverkehr auf der RB 40. Hier konnte die 110 428 mit dem Ersatzzug unter dem Berger Denkmal abgelichtet werden.
Der Güterverkehr im Pegnitztal ist leider sehr übersichtlich, nur wenige Planzüge befahren die fotogene Strecke. Seit Fahrplanwechsel im Dezember 2020 ist davon noch einer weggefallen und zwar der 51617. Den Einzelwagenzug von Zwickau nach Nürnberg gibt es zwar weiterhin an fünf Tagen in der Woche, doch nun führt der Laufweg von Hof über Weiden nach Nürnberg.
Am 01.04.2020 rollte er noch durchs Pegnitztal, gezogen wurde er an dem Tag von 232 428. Der Zug überquert gerade die Pegnitz bei Enzendorf und wird in wenigen Sekunden in einen kleinen Tunnel einfahren.
Mit dem ersten EC aus München war die 218 428 mit einer Schwester heute Morgen im ersten Licht bei Ellenberg unterwegs nach Lindau.

Ein Motiv, welches ich schon sehr lange einmal umsetzen wollte, ist der Teich bei Leau. Hier wurde vor langer Zeit Sand und Kies abgebaut. Heute wimmelt es in diesem Biotop nur so vor Fischen, Echsen und Vögeln. Selten nur wird die Ruhe von einem Zug durchbrochen.
Heute gab es dank des Elektroadlers und der Könnern Kohle sicher Panikattacken bei den Fröschen im Teich ;)

Am 18.04.22 war die 110 428 und die 110 459 in Koblenz bei den Einheitsloktagen.
Am Abend war dann die Rückfahrt.eingelegt, diese wurde dann im Rapsfeld in Namedy auf den Chip gebrannt.

Die blaue 110 428, aktuell von Lokomotion angemietet wird meist für Wagenüberstellungen des Meridian Ersatzzuges verwendet. Extrem selten gelangte die Lok in den Güterverkehrseinsatz. Am gestrigen 8.9.17 bespannte die 110 den WINNER KLV von München bis Kufstein. Dort wendete sie am Abend auf den sehr verspäteten DGS 43122 nach MOR. Im Abendlicht wurde der Zug bei Rann verewigt.
