The Lamborghini combo, with the Lamborghini Diablo 30th Anniversary, the Lamborghini Miura SV (what a sound, of course one of my favourite cars), and the Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary. All seen in Spa-Francorchamps at the event Spa-Italia 2012. It was a great day.

To honor the 40th anniversary of the formation of NJ Transit Corporation, NJ Transit Rail Operations commissioned six multilevel "Heritage Coaches" to wear large banners with the names and logos of prior railroad companies that operated commuter service over the current 660-mile system that is operated today.
Represented on this heritage train are the Central Railroad of New Jersey, Erie Lackawanna Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad, Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines, Conrail and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The train made its first revenue run Friday, July 17, 2019 on Train #59 from Hoboken, NJ to Port Jervis, NY and returned later that evening on Train #68.

A trio of Maine lobster photos (1 of 3)! For their 40th anniversary, Route 1 mainstay restaurant, Taste of Maine, decided to add a 70 foot long inflated lobster to their roof! It is so eye-catching that they needed to post a sign, advising people to refrain from stopping on the road! Seen in Woolwich, Maine, USA, during my June, 2018 visit. A note from the restaurant's Facebook page: "In honor of our 40th anniversary, “Larry the Lobster’s” arrives Wednesday May 2nd! Larry is the world's largest inflatable lobster, at 70 feet long and 12 feet high!"

I have made this cake for my parents, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary tomorrow. It astounds me that they have been married for that long! They are an inspiration, and I hope that my hubby and I can achieve the same. They are an amazing team, but unfortunately my mum carries the load these days after my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease at the age of 59. She is now Dad's primary carer, which is a tough job, especially when she is fighting her own battle with breast cancer, which was diagnosed just a couple of weeks ago. My Mum's strength just blows me away!

40th birthday 'explosion rip' cake. Customer provided me with a photo and asked me to create something similar - not sure where she sourced it from sorry.

This cake was made for my mums cousins daughters 40th birthday.We've all been invited to the party and she didn't want presents so i thought i would make her a little cake.Inspired by one i saw on flickr by helen brinksman. Jo helped with the hair and made the cute little soap to go with my sponge.

NJ Transit's 40th Anniversary excursion, led initially by 4636 (playing homage to the GG1 electrics that once plied this territory) and 4640 (referencing the E60 electrics that later took over for them), heads south toward Perth Amboy station. This excursion would re-enact the South Amboy engine change shortly after, handing control over to diesels.

This cake was made for a 40th Wedding Anniversary for the parents of a lovely customer
The figurines in red represent the happy couple celebrating their anniversary. The remaining 5 figurines represent the remainder of their family - their 2 lovely daughters, 2 son in laws and little grandson. The daughter in purple is currently pregnant, hence the rounder belly
The cake itself is light chocolate mudcake layered with dark chocolate ganache and covered in white fondant
The "40" and ribbon are in red to represent the "Ruby" anniversary
A friend gave me a very small black and white photo of the original wedding cake and asked me to recreate it for her parent's 40th Wedding Anniversary.
It was a fun challenge with a lot of firsts. I was quite pleased with the end result and very excited that I was able to find the exact same ribbon!

the little ramshackle cake i made to celebrate my parents' 40th wedding anniversary!
though i still haven't managed to unpack all my cake makin' equipment since moving, somehow i managed to get a cake made in just a few hours using the basic tools and ingredients i had available. whew! definitely not the cake i'd imagined making for them,
but still a sweet little cake full of sweet memories from their wedding day, 40 years past.
each tier was compromised of 2 layers of dark chocolate cake with french chocolate mousse, a layer of fresh raspberries, and then 2 layers of vanilla bean cake with vanilla bean mousse on top. i thought it was pretty yummy & also quite pretty when cut into.
My girlfriend asked me to make her 40th birthday cake for her Cocktails and Kaftans party and i just couldn't go past an animal print theme, often featured on a kaftan and i've been itching to do a zebra print after seeing those by Christina Johnson (www.flickr.com/people/creativecakedesigns/).

My friends threw me a surprise 40th birthday party. It appears the theme was 'rainbows'. I wonder why. Donald Schalk took the picture and holds the rights to it.

After re-enacting the South Amboy engine change, the NJ Transit 40th Anniversary excursion heads south with F40s 4120 and 4119, the earliest new diesel unit model purchased by NJ Transit after it was established, doing the honors. 4120 pariticpated in the final South Amboy engine change in 1988, a move rendered unecessary with the extension of catenary to Long Branch.

A girly cake for Sue-Ellen's 40th. Pink, black and silver colour scheme. Everything on this cake is entirely edible and hand moulded. It's a layered dark and white chocolate mud cake, with white and dark chocolate ganache. Serves 32 for dessert

For some unknown reason I never had the Action Man commando set as a kid. Fixed that with ebay this year and this unshaven, greying (another great job from the good folk at Flocktastic) 40th anniversay Action Man gets to wear a vintage outfit (and extra bits) as he joins up with 1/6th Commando.
Spot the Airfix influence in his pose too!
