A special Great Western (SVR) Association 40th Anniversary train Hauled by GWR Dukedog class loco No9017 and Small Prairie No4566 arrives at Highley station. 27/09/2008
This is the former Racine & Southwestern and the line was all but dead 40 years ago, weeds higher than your knees, rails rusted. Fast forward to when this photo was taken in 2020 who would have believed this line is active and loads of grain get pulled out every day, this is the former Racine & Southwestern at Darien, WI. The bridge once read "The Milwaukee Road".

On March 25, 2021, my Renault Fuego has reached the age of 40 years. Now she officially is a classic car without paying road tax anymore. So time for some fresh pictures and a new mot/apk today.

This is a popular cake these days... I wasn't sure what to do with the color scheme of yellow green and black, but I love the way it came together.
2/1/22 was the 40th Anniversary since the Deltics finished in BR service. To mark the occasion 55019 worked three trips on the Great Central with the same headboards that was used 40 year ago. Seen leaving Loughborough on the 1115 to Leicester North.
So, tomorrow, it is the 40th anniversary of the Terry Fox Run (its a Canadian thing). I felt I might honour his legacy with this; I'm the gook with the glasses in the back. We probably raised $125 bucks or so, maybe two hundred, I don't know but, since Terry's 'Marathon of Hope', more than $800 million has been raised. Being of a cynical sort of mindset, I have to wonder, are we any closer to a cure?

Card created for the Hero Arts "Amazing" challenge. This card is for my aunt & uncle's 40th anniversary that is being celebrated today...I am truly inspired by those who love each other & spend the remainder of their lives as one. Stamps used: Bird Branch Alphabet, Clear Design Favorite Journal, Sparkle Clear Cupcakes (used on light pink butterfly) & Purple Onion Designs Blossom Set used for stems & the small Broken15 Alphabet (used for #40).

My handmade Bobbin Lace Card to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of Wessex Lacemakers in the UK. Today would have been a celebratory ‘open-day’ with cards made by all members on display.

I made this for a good friend at work. She wanted a girly cake with a purse, shoes and make-up. She's also into purple and zebra stripe. So put them all together, and....
One of my co-workers recently turned 40, so I made him this bouquet (and I admit, arranging cookies is not my strong suit!). The "gray hare" idea came from Cookies by Design, and I ran with that theme. His young children were thrilled with the cookies, and the parents were able to use them as bribes to get the children out of bed in the morning!
The Lamborghini combo, with the Lamborghini Diablo 30th Anniversary, the Lamborghini Miura SV (what a sound, of course one of my favourite cars), and the Lamborghini Murcielago 40th Anniversary. All seen in Spa-Francorchamps at the event Spa-Italia 2012. It was a great day.

To honor the 40th anniversary of the formation of NJ Transit Corporation, NJ Transit Rail Operations commissioned six multilevel "Heritage Coaches" to wear large banners with the names and logos of prior railroad companies that operated commuter service over the current 660-mile system that is operated today.
Represented on this heritage train are the Central Railroad of New Jersey, Erie Lackawanna Railroad, Pennsylvania Railroad, Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines, Conrail and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
The train made its first revenue run Friday, July 17, 2019 on Train #59 from Hoboken, NJ to Port Jervis, NY and returned later that evening on Train #68.
