Seen at London's Victoria Coach Station in July 1986 was South Wales Neoplan N722/3 / Plaxton Paramount 4000 II 152 300CUH. The Rapide branded coach was new the previous month. It lasted 3 years with South Wales before passing to Maybury of Cranborne as C366KEP.

Da in den CFL Triebwagen der Serie 2200 aktuell ETCS verbaut wird, verlieren immer mehr Triebwagen ihre Belgienzulassung, was dazu geführt hat, dass seit März 2016 etliche Züge zwischen Rodange und Athus durch Busse ersetzt werden. Um zumindest am Sonntag einen durchgehenden Zugbetrieb zu gewährleisten, setzt die CFL auf der Strecke Dostogarnituren ein. Abgesehen von 2 morgendlichen Verstärkern sind die Dostowendezüge 2013 mit der Zweigleisigkeit von dieser Strecke verschwunden.
Comme les automotrices de la série 2200 des CFL sont en cours d'équipement du dispositif ETCS, elles perdent progressivement leur homologation pour le réseau belge. Cette situation a provoqué un remplacement d'un grand nombre de trains sur Rodange-Athus par des bus de substitution.
Avant l'homologation de cette nouvelle configuration ETCS et afin de continuer à offrir un service de train entre Luxembourg et Athus les dimanches, des rames tractées ont refait leur apparition sur cette relation durant mars 2016.

NS 4000 (AC44C6M), one of the first locomotives to go through Norfolk Southern's DC to AC conversion program and painted in a striking silver and blue mane scheme, leads westbound CP grain train #381 through Watertown, WI.
The train would terminate not far from here in Fall River.

This beast has been doing its best to avoid me, and annoying me by appearing on the opposite of the M6 to me in my car, or being blocked in by other vehicles on the move, or indeed by arriving at Belle Vue stock car meetings before any other vehicle, well before I got there. Anyway, I had an idea that it might be out yesterday, as there was a meeting in the afternoon in Birmingham, so I decided to do a stake-out, and it appeared after about 20 minutes, well before I was expecting it !
This stunning-looking vehicle is barely recognisable now as a Volvo B10M / Plaxton 4000 RS twin-deck, although there can't be a lot left on it that is original. New to Flights of Birmingham as F707 COA, it had a succession of operators up to 2008, at which point it vanished off the scene, so the project to convert it may have started as long ago as that. It is now with Salford-based F1 driver Ben Riley, so will probably become a commonplace sight after a while, but it was still good to get it now.
