Well, just like with the other Wall-E wallpaper that I did with the new 3D model that I created in Blender I made this because I wondered what did Wall-E look like before he got so old and rusty or how could he had looked if he had been refurbished after humans rebuilt Earth. I though that maybe after the return he would get proper maintenance (after all all those other robots got great maintenance so why not Wall-E too?) and got refurbished like R2-D2 at the end of Star Wars IV. It is the same Wall-E used in the New Earth - New Wall-E Wallpaper but in this one I am showing him at a much closer range and the materials have been refined a little bit more. In addition this one has illumination that looks more like interior lighting. The rendering took about 14 hours approximately in an Intel i7 920 2.66 Ghz machine with triple channel DDR-3 1,300 Mhz memory. I did one large very high resolution square (3072 x 3072 pixels) render which I then cropped to the different aspect ratios and then resized for the different screen resolutions.
