At this time of year with certificate classes disappearing off on exam leave we are keen to develop new projects and course notes for classes over the course of next session. With this in mind we've been honing our skills in staging and lighting in Cinema 4D. Current S2 pupils are experimenting with outcomes that might well make it into next year's S2 course. These models and renders were produced over a couple of hours in the last two afternoons. More to follow...

3D Modelling by Azim Kadri

This is a project where I had to create a table setting. Everything is 3D rendered right to the fork using Modeler.

Synopsis: The characteristic of the place setting is based on a nostalgic feeling of youth. The cutlery is bright with blue handles giving a childish feeling while the silverware offsets this to make it more elegant. The glassware is simply stacked with the main plate at the bottom, and the appetizer plate after, following with the bowl. The white, red blue, gives a minimal feel giving a pop of colour to the dishware. A simple water glass is provided and accompanied with wine and champagne as well.

Concept: The table setting would be surrounded in a woody and concrete vibe, giving a natural and urban contrast.

Environment: Cafe/restaurant/bar/urban, metropolitan, sidewalk pedestrian.
