3D Laser scanning survey of Craigievar castle in Aberdeenshire on behalf of the Architects looking after the re-harling of the castle. Two short days in the middle of winter allowed us to create a detailed point cloud of the castle, incorporating colour data from digital SLR photography. From this pointcloud, we created 2D elevation CAD drawings to act as a reference for when the harling (render) was stripped from the walls. This would allow accurate location of any details (blocked up doors/windowsetc) to be added to the elevations during the restoration work.
I drew this toy in the 3D program "Rhinoceros 3D". It was for my final exam last year, for this lesson. We had to draw an existing product in this 3D program. So I decided to draw this surprice toy from the "Fischer Price". I didn't want to draw a boring product, so I took this one! I can say that it was not so easy to draw, because this toy wasn't that big :)

Several TV stations visited ZCorp over the past week to see demos of our 3D printing and 3D scanning technology, and we received great coverage as a result. We ZPrinted their logos, as seen here in this photo. www.zcorp.com
