So, having never completed this build before, I wouldn't have known that it would suffer a bit from hyper-vertexia near the top. But it makes sense.
The relay hack held up with no apparent problems, although the platform was reading 100+ degrees or something not what I expected it to be at 80. I'm not sure if that was intentional or not. I could see the platform turning on and off. So it seemed to be working the whole time.

Building an enclosure for my Printrbot, the Schlabricator. The problem to solve is keeping printer at temperature in an unheated space. Another benefit will be to keep printer clean from dust and other contaminants. The plexiglass is off-the-shelf 18" x 24" panels from Home Depot, the rest of the hardware is 3DPrinted.
This is why I need an enclosure. I cannot get the heated bed to temperature without coddling the surface with blankets and other insulation. Lame.
