I have taken these photos in order to use them for 3D modeling. I like mapping images onto surfaces, and putting decals onto them. These photos are raw JPEGs which haven't undergone any treatment at all - no reduction, no re-sizing, no auto contrast or auto levels or anything. Please feel free to grab anything you like and use it for your projects. Some may require cropping and sharpening, colour calibration, etc., but you surely know all that. Best of luck with your projects.

The images you see here were all used at some stage on one of my own 3D CAD models. I made them all myself of course, and you are welcome to take whatever you like. I am a very "messy" modeler myself, and I model in order to get renderings, not necessarily perfectly crafted models. My pictures reflect that as well, and some may need editing for your purposes first. If some haven't quite got the right colour for your purpose, you know the trick, I presume: Photoshop, "Replace Colour" function.
All the best with your models.
Bruticus is my major addition to the classic Joan of Arc tutorial for Max. The Bruticus concept came about when I decided to create a robotic horse for the Joan of Arc model to ride. Bruticus was modeled in 3DS Max and rendered with Mental Ray. The final image is a combination of a diffuse and ambient occlusion pass.
The forensic team sifted through the debris from Helos Station. A piece from the bomb detonator was sent to the Lab for Dr. Edwards to examine. The lab and Dr. Edwards fall under the command of Commander Richard Taylor of the space vessel Katana. Here they discover trace human DNA from the detonator, but genetic fading in the sequence code indicates the DNA is from a CLONED human. This leads the Doctor and Commander Taylor to believe there has been an imposter substituted for a crew member. This is a delicate and dangerous discovery.

Typography design based on the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer. I picked out my favourite buildings as a basis for developing some expressive letter forms. Included are : Cathedral of Brasília / Niterói Contemporary Art Museum / Ghery house / Ibirapuera Park theatre / Oscar Niemeyer Museum.

I been working on this for a few months, piece by piece. It is still a WIP, i wish i had documented more of the working process (I will post more content soon, less messy LOL)

Modeled in 3DS Max 9 and rendered with VRAY. I am really happy with the way the new light bulb bodies look with the fencing swords. The new bodies offer more dynamic poses over the flat, square, and round bodies of the old bulb guys. See the entire Flickr set here: Light Bulb Wars

Started with an Inktober sketch, then rendered in 2d, converted to 3d in vizcom, then edited/sculpted in Kodon in VR. I still need to re-texture and add back the table

This Spider-man 3D model was created using Autodesk Maya and rendered with VRAY. The model is based on the black costume that Spider-man sometime wears.
