I have taken these photos in order to use them for 3D modeling. I like mapping images onto surfaces, and putting decals onto them. These photos are raw JPEGs which haven't undergone any treatment at all - no reduction, no re-sizing, no auto contrast or auto levels or anything. Please feel free to grab anything you like and use it for your projects. Some may require cropping and sharpening, colour calibration, etc., but you surely know all that. Best of luck with your projects.

I was working on sketchup for a meeting when Jen’s dog Charlie (uh, he’s the cleverly named King Charles Cavalier Spaniel) decided to stare at me for a while. I’m not sure the original breeders had laptop computers in mind when they bread for a laptop dog.

Here's my two week WIP scratch build of Grauman's Chinese Theater in Maya from available blueprints and my own photo ref. Rendered in Arnold and finished in Lightroom. There's an endless amount of sculptural detail left to add once I've mastered ZBrush.

This scene was created using Autodesk Maya 2009 and rendered using Mental Ray. The tree frog was from an earlier project I did.

The images you see here were all used at some stage on one of my own 3D CAD models. I made them all myself of course, and you are welcome to take whatever you like. I am a very "messy" modeler myself, and I model in order to get renderings, not necessarily perfectly crafted models. My pictures reflect that as well, and some may need editing for your purposes first. If some haven't quite got the right colour for your purpose, you know the trick, I presume: Photoshop, "Replace Colour" function.

All the best with your models.

Not liking the shirt spritzed with water... Ahem!

This Spider-man 3D model was created using Autodesk Maya and rendered with VRAY. The model is based on the black costume that Spider-man sometime wears.

My contribution to Arthas's war in the World of Warcraft universe. The Northrend Nomad was rendered with Mental Ray in two ways. First a regular render using the ink and paint materials was rendered. Next an ambient occlusion pass was rendered. The two renders were combined in Photoshop to achieve the above effect.
