what i have so far...might still update it another time..

Here's an example of a new (to me) source of vector art for rendering on a polargraph: "sliced" 3D models.

I noticed that Slic3r (a program used to process 3D meshes for 3D printers) has a "slice to SVG" feature. -*lightbulb over my head*-

There are quite a few hoops to jump through to get a set of vectors that are useable, and the visible smudges on this drawing show that I should have jumped through a few more, but I'm very excited about the possibilities.

This is a rendering of a strange head scan, available as a free sample here:

Paper artist Lisa Lloyd (@lisa_lloydpaper on IG) has launched a clever 3D model challenge by providing a template and videos that show step-by-step how to build a recycled paper prawn:

Yay. Inspired by the one used in Ghost Recon: Alpha (hence the "webcam" thingy).

It is compatible to Lego elements in multiple ways:

- The frame around the propeller blades is 3 mm thick and therefor gripable by Minifigs.

- The stud on top is the size of a Lego stud, to allow extra accessories on top.

- The bottom has a hole that fits over a Lego stud. This is where the camera assembly is placed, but you can build your own accessories as well!

- The camera assembly includes a clamp, able to grip anything a Minifig can hold

- Throughout the Drone runs a 3mm wide hole for a Lego bar.

- Finally, the camera assembly has a stud on top (obviously) and the propeller assembly fits on a stud (obviously²). The little "engines" might be grippable as well. (It's 3mm at the top, but as it's a cone, it might be as gripable as the tactical lamps for the Clone Troopers.)

Enjoy!

6884... I have never been a great fan of the look of this model but I will surely change my mind with this blacktronized version...

My brickheadz Turtles team updated with some improvements. Unfortunately I had to use a part that doesn't exist in this color... It's unusual in my build!

HiRISE DTM work continues ..... I need the practice!

Here are some test fights my friends Kim and Som are having. Training, trying to get the best combat tactics and learning the combat mechanics!

This is my interpretation of a typical American hot rod. Hot rods originated in southern California when returning WWII soldiers wanted to create an American equivalent of the light and nimble sports cars of Europe (MGs, Alfa Romeos, etc). Suped up engines mostly V8s were swapped in place of the original motors. To help improve performance body parts were often removed. Fenders, bumpers, hoods, running boards were often shed to increase the horsepower to weight ratio of the vehicle.

In this image I used a late 1920s, early 1930s sedan body as the basis for the car. Powered by a early model Ford flathead V8 which

is supercharged with three carburetors. The roof of the sedan has been chopped to reduce it's height.

I created the car from scratch using 3D modeling apps. The bulk of the modeling was done in Hexagon 3D and Silo 3D. For UV mapping I used 3DCoat. Textures were created in Photoshop and applied in Vue Complete 2015, where the scene was rendered.
