Jason Brody and his friends are captured by pirates on what seemed like the perfect tropical vacation. Now Jason must master the jungle and rescue his friends, but the only way to defeat the darkness... is to embrace it.
This moc is inspired by the Far Cry 3 figures made by [N]atsty and MGF Customs/Reviews. And of course the game inspired this too.
Halo 3 warthog, my favorite 'Hog. Features fully rotating turret, seating for two in the cabin, an engine under the hood plus rubber band suspension. No steering (unlike on my halo 4 hog) as it makes it irritating to roll around and play with.
If there is enough interest, I could sell a limited run kit as the build is incredibly strong and sitting at about 270 pieces.

Looking at 3 niches on the side of the Musei Capitolini in Rome. I love that they were empty, only showing off the 'apostrophe' shadows.
Hey everyone ... um, so a lot has happened since my last couple of posts from way (waaay) back when which took me out of the simming mode, but I finally got around to putting up some stuff that I've made here and there during that time. Feel free to lightly knock me over the head with a plumbob for taking forever to get things going.
When you're done, go shop around ;)

My wife and I went on 4 trips to the rainforest and although we didnt 'expect' to see a sloth, we really hoped to, but no luck.
So towards the end of the holiday we decided on a fifth trip and BINGO! Five sloths, including this one which was active. They're normally nocturnal but this had decided to move branches.
Absolutely incredible to see, such an odd animal. And yes, he moved bloody slow!

for wearing socks with sandals today.
You just don't see this in every cyclocross race you attend. This guy said he had "something good" me if I stuck around the sandpit for the next lap. He was right. There was a small uphill with a decent lip about 3 feet in front of the sand. He landed several feet into the sandpit and kept on truckin' through it.
Bold: Dr. Octavious
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Alright you alien scum..."
Drax looked up at Captain Stacy. He had just entered Earth with orders from his ship's leader.
"I want you outta my life, I want you outta my station, and I want you outta New York, and the whole god damn planet!"
"I'm sorry to upset you. I need to find the one named... Quill." replied Drax.
"Buddy, there ain't anybody here named Quill."
Not here there isn't.
Both of them turned to see the man in the room.
"Dr. Octavious. Capt'n Stacy at your service."
The man put his hand up to his hat. Drax only laughed.
"What's so funny alien!"
Now now, settle down Captain. He is no harm to us I believe. If he was he would have killed you.
"The hell do I care? I see an alien, I kill 'em. It's my life's work."
No, being a police captain is more your speed. Anyways, your name sir?
Drax looked up.
"Drax. The Destroyer."
"Hardly look like one."
Drax lunged at the Captain. He took him down faster than Spider-Man did Vulture. He had just put a knife to his throat when Otto stopped them.
You, will NOT kill him.
"What are you going to do about it?" Drax said angrily.
The next thing Drax knew he was in a holding cell.
That should do.
"Look. I need to find the man named Quill. He is our only hope."
Go look elsewhere, in space. *phone rings* Yes. Yes. Ok. Alright Nova Core it is then. *hangs up* looks like you are going to maximum security prison! Toodles!
Drax pounded on the screen that held him in the pod. He was flying off to Nova Core.

Flash Thompson had had a rough night. He had saved an elderly couple from being destroyed by the Leader, gone to see the GIANTS play at their home game, and saved a girl named Mary Jane. Things were looking up for Flash. Flash was a good looking kid. He had had a rough past, and it made his anger lash out on others. He found a suit that gave him these powers, and thought of the man he admired most. Spider-Man. He seemed to have everything going his way! He stopped crime, was famous, and had a new snazzy outfit. Flash had thought of being him, and in that moment the suit jumped on Flash, attaching itself to him. the suit would never come off, no matter how hard he tried. This all happened a long time ago. He was now 26, and when he had got the suit, he was 21. He had 5 full years with the suit and they formed a bond. He now does what his role model does. Save people. It was a new change for the suit, but it turned out to be ok with the idea. About a week ago, Flash had heard on the news about his favorite web slinger fighting someone that looked like him. It was definitely the same venom. Flash thought about how they got a piece of his suit. It didn't matter. Everything was going great. Until now.
Mr. Thomson?
Flash looked down. There was the billionaire scientist named Otto Octavious standing below him. Flash wondered how he knew he would be here. And his name.
"Hey. I know you. You're the guy that got away from Spidey!"
Or is it Agent Venom, I never know. Anyways would you do something for me?
"What do you want! You should be in jail! How know one knows, that you aren't who you really are beats me. But they wont believe me. Say, maybe I could just kill you right now..."
I come in peace. I never wanted to harm anyone. I got out of the way before I did. Now I am trying to give back for what I've done. Now will you help me?
Flash thought about it.
"No games?"
None.
"What is it."
Keep a close eye on this prisoner.
Flash was shown a picture of what looked to be an alien.
"An alien?"
Yes sir. You need to keep your eyes on him.
"What's in it for me?"
Five million dollars.
"Done."
Flash took off into the sunset.
Well. Nova Core better get me my money...

So there's #3! I really like this issue, because it features two of my favorite Guardians. I also like the shots I took. Anyways, enjoy!
It makes me laugh that my last individual family photo I took had half the dolls that I have now. :D It goes to show how much a family can grow in such a small period of time! Aaaand it also proves how hard it is to take family photo's. xD I know people with much bigger families and their picture's are much better!
The little girl in the middle is going to be rewigged -- hopefully tomorrow I will order her wig. <3 I can't wait. And Kumiko looks blonde here. xD hahaha irl, her hair is flourescent. I don't even have a blonde doll. xD Alsooo, Esther looks absolutely evil here! o_O
Btw, please post you're favourite too! ^_^

It's been a while since I've last posted anything, and that is because I've been busy with this beast for the past few months. I've never built a space ship of this size before. This is officially my largest LEGO project to date.
It is well over 100 studs, full of play-ability, and (as I will show in future posts) every room is accessible by lifting off the top. Each room is fully decorated too.
This project started about a year ago, when I missed out on last SHIPtember. I vowed to myself that I would build a ship over the course of the year and have it ready to post prior to the end of this September. I was not concerned with entering the contest. I know that building it over the course of a year technically violates the "rules". However, this was more of a challenge that I set for myself.
Now, for a little about this ship:
This is the Odyssey 5. A flagship of the Galactic Federation. Under the command of Captain Thaddeus Astro, the Odyssey 5 pushes beyond the boundaries of known space as Captain Astro and his crew explore regions never seen by minifigures before. The Odyssey 5 is fully equipped for long missions through space. It has a small hangar in the aft section where the explorers can store their vacuum suits. The hangar also houses the X-1 zero gravity chair. Their is a small hangar suspended beneath the aft section where they store their rover for vehicular exploration of a planet's surface.
Each "wing" houses a landing pad. There the explorers can dock the "hopper" and the "skimmer", both speedy surface vehicles. Underneath the landing pads are mounted landing repulsors to aid in the landing and take-off of the Odyssey 5. There is a fully stocked science lab, a berth with bunks, and a common area for preparing meals and relaxing during long journeys.
The cockpit makes up the forward 1/3 of the Odyssey 5. There is a seat for a pilot and co-pilot. As well as Captain Astro's command chair. A bank of computers and communications systems line the walls. For defense, there is a dorsal mounted twin-barrel laser cannon turret. As well as a port and starboard mounted torpedo launchers.
As always, thank you for looking! Comments and criticism are welcomed.
3. Temporary Container Shelter
Four 20-foot containers make up the two-storey temporary shelter unit LiNX, which Dublin-based industrial designer Richard Barnwall had originally intended for construction workers use. However, by adapting the interiors, one can easily imagine its use as temporary or even permanent housing units.
I have 3 blue 401 bowls...the top one is from my Turquoise set, the middle one is from a set of Primary Colours, but I don't know what set the bottom bowl is from...any ideas? It isn't the correct blue to be from Snowflake Blue or Colonial Mist. (Although they would have a pattern on them, anyway...)
EDIT: After some advice from susannatron and xeryp, I am convinced that the bottom bowl is from the Multicolour Bowls set from the late 1960s / early 1970s. Thanks for the help, guys!
The Olympus OM-3 is considered to be the second rarest model in the Olympus OM line up. This camera was only in production for 3 years. It is a full manual camera like the OM-1, with an incredible metering system. Other differences from the OM-1 included an internally lit viewfinder, 1/2000 max shutter speed, an updated accurate shutter curtain timing system, built in hot shoe and the rewind button is on top of the camera rather than the face of the camera. This camera can be used with all shutter speeds with out the need for batteries.
Possibly the reason for low sales was because the tried and true OM-1 was also still in production and there was a consider price difference between the two.

That's the number of photos it says have now accumulated and are recorded as my photographic history on Flickr. Which actually amounts to my entire photographic history, since I honestly can't remember taking a picture before a sister bought me an inexpensive Nikon Coolpix for my birthday 4 1/2 years ago. An odd present I thought at the time, but actually thoughtfully based on a combination of my location and my retirement...and one in retrospect remarkably prescient. Though that particular device was broken when dropped by some clumsy individual when his sleeve caught on a door handle, stopping his hand but not the camera which continued merrily on its way, it was quickly replaced with the same basic model, still in use today. And once I finally took it out of the box after a few months, inspired at the time by the remarkable local fall foliage, there have been few days since that have passed without a few shots being snapped.
It seems somehow appropriate that this milestone should occur on Memorial Day though for entirely inappropriate reasons. And this particular image doesn't represent the genre I've come to learn that you, my dear audience, prefer. And there are actually more than 3,000 images in my stream because I don't think that number includes the comment photos which I've often utilized, usually with a purpose in mind. And also ironic that Flickr should go through such a "memorable" change at this time...a change which I'm learning slowly to appreciate more than I expected, being the cranky, stubborn, old person that I am. And it's interesting, at least to me, to note the changes this hobby has brought to my concepts and acceptances of all that photography is today.
I still have not finished reading the manual and expect that I never will, and my forays into "processing" are always without plan or pattern and couldn't be repeated if my life depended on it. It's the surprise that has become much of the fun and encourages additional fiddling. But far and away the most important element of all this is you who continue to take the time to look at it. I mentioned in my profile composed early on that it was you who had surprised me with your generous friendship and support. Remarkably, those relationships have only strengthened and developed over the years...many to the point of becoming very close friendships though in absentia. That, my good friends, is the value of all this to me, and I can honestly say that I don't take a photo without you all in mind. Thus, you are as responsible for the 3,000 as I am...and will be so for the next 3,000 as well...an unexpected journey for which I sincerely thank you.
