Main story
There are two reasons why a person faces the sea.

I had a very sweet girlfriend when I was 18.
After she left, I knew the meaning of gentleness for the first time and also a true pain of loss. After
she left, how many times did I depend too much on her, doubt her, envy her and keep on telling lies
until I realized it is love?
I wonder whether a nobody like me could have given something to her who was struggling in the
daily life in those days. Giving something is arrogant conceit. It is nothing but self-satisfaction.
I had been thinking about such a thing.
However, I guess what she saw in me was because I had nothing. That‘s why she tried to see
something in me. Perhaps she found a slight possibility in me, a guy filled with ambiguous, unstable
tomorrow. But I wasted days depending too much on her gentleness.
Now I finally can convey how I felt in those days when we met.

あらすじ
大学を目指している北見ケイは、SNS上で、6歳年上のイベントコンパニオン、上村香織に出会う。
上京してきた香織の夢は、有名なアーティストの友達になるためだ。
そのためにはラジオ局のプロデューサー、大沢亮の存在が必要だった。
大沢は、ラジオの生放送中、香織へ語りかける。
「僕には妻子がある。しかし、僕は君に会いたいと思っている」
ケイの同級生で、彼を想っている三條里香は、香織の動向を探っていた。。。。。
本編
人が海へ向かう理由には、二つある。
ひとつは、波打ち際ではしゃぐ子供のように、今の瞬間の海の輝きを楽しむこと。
もうひとつは、その輝きを静かに見据えて、過ぎ去った日々を懐かしむ老人のように記憶の埃を払うこと。
二つは重なり合わないようではあるけれども、たったひとつの意味しか生まない。
再生だ。
明日っていう、曖昧な日を確実なものへと変えてゆくために、自分の存在に向き合う。
それが再生の意味だ。
十八歳だった僕には大切な人がいた。

で、ソフトバンクのサイトから予約したんですけど、アップルケアへ入るには、
ソフトバンクさんの『安心保証プラスアップルケア』みたいなのに、予約と同時に入らないと後で入ることはできません。
が、
アイフォーン１１プロが届いてから、アップルとの契約で、『アップルケア（盗難紛失保証付）』などへ、 iOSの設定から入れます。
で、ここで何度かチャレンジしたんですけど、まるでできませんでした。

これは本心です。
僕はカメラの機能は必要以上に必要とはされていないと判断していますが、おそらく、フェイスIDなどこれからの先進的な機能を搭載するにあたって、
カメラの精度を高めざる終えいないのだと感じています。
でも、デザインには徹底的に凝って欲しかった。
三つ目はソニーみたいですね。
機能優先主義。
僕がデザインするなら、そこにレンズがあるのかどうかがわからないような板状を目指します。
スーパーシンプルが一番格好いい。
でもそれは無理そうですね。

So my yard is finally, truly a bird sanctuary. And....we're leaving. The good news is, unless the new people let everything die, or cut it down, it will still be a bird sanctuary. The best part is, they don't even have to water, because I planted water wise plants. The robins have been going crazy over the Russian Hawthorne the last couple of weeks. :-)

This was trip was littererly one of the best experiences ever. I was 6 again, it was awesome.
Most my photos suck but heres one of the ones that made the cut.

Bit of a gloomy day today. I got out for a walk this afternoon, and wasn't particularly inspired photography-wise, but then spotted these cheery crocuses on the way back home. A nice reminder that spring is not too far off.

El río Tinto (Luxia1 en la antigüedad) es un río costero del sur de España, que discurre a lo largo de la provincia de Huelva, Andalucía. Nace en la sierra de Padre Caro (Nerva, Huelva) y tras recorrer casi 100 km llega hasta la ría de Huelva, donde se funde con el río Odiel.
El río es conocido por el color rojizo de sus aguas, de ahí su nombre. La coloración tiene su origen en la meteorización de minerales que contienen sulfuros de metales pesados hallados en los yacimientos a lo largo del río. Estos yacimientos son depósitos hidrotermales compuestos en gran medida por rocas de pirita (sulfuro de hierro (II)) y calcopirita (disulfuro de hierro y cobre). El proceso de meteorización se debe a la oxidación microbiológica de estos minerales, causada principalmente por unas bacterias especiales como Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans o Leptospirillum ferrooxidans y otras bacterias acidófilas que oxidan los iones sulfuro y ferroso a iones sulfato y férrico, liberando protones que acidifican las aguas, y lixiviando una variedad de metales pesados como cationes en el agua. Es a causa del flujo de ácido sulfúrico que el agua del río tiene un carácter muy ácido. A este proceso se le denomina Drenaje Ácido de Minas.2

Just south of the Lommel station is a war cemetary where no less than 39,000 German soldiers are buried that were killed in battles in Belgium, including the Ardennes and around Aachen (Germany).
39,000 lives wasted for nothing...
The Panzerbüchse 39 or PzB 39, was a German anti tank rifle used throughout World War 2. Although their efficiency was constantly lowering, they still remained somewhat useful against lightly armed targets.
So a while back I made a Boys Anti Tank Rifle, now it was time to make the German equivalent, unlike the Boys rifle which fired a 50 caliber bullet, the Pzb 39 actually used an extremely high velocity 8mm bullet. Reaching a speed of 1210 meters per second! It could also penetrate at 300 meters 25mm of armor.
I’ve been having a hard time with this one, especially because of the grip and stock section. I ended up using a Brickarms HCSR (like the the Boys LOL) and removed everything but the grip and barrel. To add the stock I used a modified Brickarms U-Tab. I was very tempted to attempt adding the side mounted ammo boxes, but after several attempts I just liked how it looked without them.
Although not the cleanest mod out there, I really like how it turned out! I’m sure the next one will be even cleaner! Let me know what you guys think!

This is what I like about Chicago - right after the snowfall :-) Everything is covered with snow and you see everything turn beautiful.
The trio of Green Lanterns zoom through the air. Below them, they see the two men causing the cries. The first was clad in white cloth like material with pieces of metal scattered around it. To his left was someone who looked to be completely ice blue. He wore a gunmetal suit that left his hard and arms exposed.
The three lanterns landed, causing the two villains to look up. "Ah, yes. Finally they are here. Jr, kill 'em."
Suddenly the one with exposed arms launched his hands forward, sending out a glacier of ice the size of the entire block. "EXCELLENT MY BOY!" Shouted the father, sounding extremely joyous. The joy faded as a green drill pierced through the ice. As the drill faded, the three lanterns stood with their rings ready.
"You guys are pretty weak for su-"
"You fucking failure! You're just another failure. Like always."
Suddenly Guy stopped talking, something that didn't happen. Ever. His ring stopped casting a green glow around him, sliding off of his finger. Jess dropped to catch him from falling onto the pavement.
"What happened?" Shouted Simon, turning around to see Guy and Jess on the floor. "I d-d-don't know! Guy just fell over. I- I think he m-might be having a p-p-panic attack!"
Simon looked at Guy, then back at the villains. "Help him. I'll hold these two off." He began to fly but heard Jess call out, "Simon!" He turned his head, "Be careful." He nodded then went to fight.

The door swung open, slamming against the wall. A small boy with long orange hair flipped to the side as his head turned to stare at the doorway. He stared at the man in the doorway, stains on his tank top and a bottle in his hand.
"The fuck are you lookin' at?" The words slurred from the man's mouth, obviously drunker than drunk. "Ah, n-nothing. S-sorry." The boy was stuttering as he turned his head back to his homework that sat on the kitchen table. The older man stepped over to him, looking down on him.
"Jamie said he got his little shit's report card. Where's yours?" The boy's shoulders trembled, his breath speeding up. A hand struck him across the face. "WHERE IS IT YOU LITTLE BASTARD?"
The boy scrambled into his backpack, pulling out the paper. He looked at it with tearful eyes, handing it to his father. He looked down at the floor, his eyes closed as tight as he could, and his teeth biting his lip to stop him from crying.
"Three F's!?" A loud thud is heard as the chair the boy was on falls over. The boy, now on the floor, struggles to pick himself back up. "All I've done!" Another hit is heard, this time it was a kick to the stomach. The boy looks up to see his dad now holding his belt.
"You're just another failure!"
The rubber if the belt smacks hard against the boy, causing an audible cry of pain.
"You fucking failure!"
Like lightning, the belt strikes again, a whiz of air following the strike. The hiss of the hit, like that of a snake, fills the air. "Aghghhh!"
"Worthless."
Smack.
Cry.
"Waste of money."
Smack.
Cry.
"A burden."
Smack.
Cry.
"Like always.
The final hit connects, this time being the metal buckle of the belt. The metal connects the child's back, sending a deathly scream throughout the house. Then silence.
The man puts his belt back on before spitting at the child on the floor. "Do better next time. Now go to your room, you're grounded for 2 weeks."
The boys tears intertwine with his blood that leaks from where the belt struck his face. "Why…?"
"Why?"
"Guy!? Guy you gotta get up!" Jess is relentlessly trying to shake Guy out of his panic attack. She is used to the feeling, she knows what it's like to feel trapped. "Guy please!"
His eyes, glistening with tears, look up to her. "Why?"
She knew what happened.
John had told her about Guy's past. The trauma that he had been through in an abusive home. The look in his eyes spoke to her, what the villain said must have been a trigger.
Feeling her own tears in her eyes, she simply hugged him by the head, "I… I don't know."
He just held him for a minute. Guy sobbed, she looked to her right to see Simon fending the villains off. She looked back at Guy. "He can't hurt you."
He stared at her. "B-b-but…"
She shushed him. "I won't let him. Never again."
"W-what if… what i-i-if he h-h-urts you too? O-or John, or S-simon, or-or H-h-hal?" He was still shaking. His tears stained his cheeks, he was just a boy, hurt by someone he was supposed to be able to trust.
"Do you see this?" Jess held his ring that had fallen in the palm of her hand. "This means something. It means that he isn't a part of you anymore. That you're one of the bravest… and strongest people in the galaxy."
She stretched her hand out towards him.
"This means you're the Green Lantern. A protector. A hero. Someone that makes sure no one has to ever be hurt like that again."
The tears in his eyes dried. He stared at her as his pupils ignited a neon green. The ring jostled in her palm, the same green as his eyes engulfed the ring. It zipped from her grasp onto his finger.
"He can't hurt me, not anymore."
Week 39, September 21 - September 27:
We went hiking in the German Harz Mountains for a couple of days and it was wonderful.
I actually already published a post about the trip; I don't think most of you guys even know about my blog but I reckon some of you might really like it because I share so much more on there than I do here these days!
