Iglesia de Torres de la Alameda, Madrid / Spain
La Iglesia de la Asunción es una gran belleza del siglo XVI. Una de esas sobriedades elegantes del Plateresco español, que han ido fascinando a viajeros y visitantes a lo largo del tiempo.
Es uno de los bienes de interés cultural más hermosos de la Campiña del Henares. Su principal singularidad está en el Claustro Porticado, de siete arcos y encarado al Sur, de acuerdo con los cánones arquitectónicos renacentistas.

Meet Daniella.
I met Daniella a few weeks ago when I was strolling around my favorite area near Bethesda. She was actually just entering an apparel store with her friends when I first saw her. Although I initially waited for a bit, wasn’t sure how long she would take as the light was fading and hence, I went in and finding a quiet moment I made my request. Although she was a little hesitant, I guess because she didn’t have makeup as she confided, she agreed sportingly to be my subject.
As we stepped out onto the street, we chatted a bit. Daniella is nurse in a renowned hospital in the area and works primarily in the emergency ward. Her favorite quality about herself is her kindness which I guess goes well with her chosen profession.
Her fondest memory is related to what she loves most – travelling – as she looked back at a recent trip to Cuba. I lost some of my notes from the day so am hazy on few more details. But what struck we was her poise and confidence – for someone who claimed not to be comfortable on cameras she was an absolute pleasure to photograph. Also, as in many of my subjects, I think her eyes and the “steely” almost determined look about them was something that I think really stood out.
Thank you, Daniella, for taking the time and trusting me with the pictures. It was an absolute pleasure making your acquaintance and we are thankful for all the work you do as a nurse. Wishing you all the best for the future.

Visited the great locks at Hüntel - Emsland, Germany - at the 174km long Dortmund-Ems-Kanal again this evening, originally built in 1896. I watched ships like this come and go, raised or lowered, waiting for the gates to close and open as they continue their journey.
Got some great long exposure ghost ships as well! Will post them tomorrow.

yep, pretty miserable at this point!!! we just want her out!! LOL...6 days till due date, i'm afraid i'm going to go over the 40 weeks!! :(
I'm not really as pissed off as I look. Just tired and uncomfortable. The babe moved though from ROA to LOA and s/he is engaging, so this is promising. LOTS of contractions today and getting more and more regular. gonna cohosh and eat pizza and peppers tonight and maybe have me a little s.e.x. with R.o.b.

I have just joined the U3A Cardiff group on Photography and it is full of really nice people who meet regularly to discuss and comment on photos The group also has Photographic trips where members go to a place and take images on one or more themes. It is wonderful.
