Moscow-Sheremetyevo (SVO) on June 24, 2005. Indian Navy Ilyushin Il-38 IN301/DAB. Big surprise! I could hardly believe my eyes when I saw this rare and seldom photographed aircraft on the taxiway. The Il-38 is used for long range maritime patrol by the Indian Navy.
Project 2011 / 38 - Old art?
When I pictured this shot I could only remember old paintings with women and dead nature. The scene was fitting and my model was there. But then I decided that I wouldn't have the right focus ...
The result was...this one!
Thanks to pareeerica for the texture

I wish I had the ability to fully capture the wonder of this twice-daily sight......A massive flock of crows, thousands of them, make their way from the outskirts of the city into the city every night, and then migrate back into the outskirts every morning.
My cousin is an ornithologist in Maine, and I asked him if he knew what this phenomenon was. He pointed me to a study done at Cornell University about these birds.
Interestingly, there's debate as to whether they come into the city for protection at night, or to be near sources of food in the morning, or some other reason. The giant flocks dissipate when they get to their day-time hang-out, and only congregate in the evenings to come back into town.
And, this only happens between October/November and March/April...from May until September they don't form these giant flocks.
I find them fascinating.
My son has asked for his own dog for a while. We finally gave in and got him "his very own". This is Sean and Moonshine
