With just two coaches at this time, the trains could be described as somewhat over-powered! The locos and coaches had been hired-in from DRS in a creative expedient to cover a shortage of DMUs. New Stadler ‘Flirt’ bi-mode units now cover the Anglia non-electrified routes, and the semaphore signalling was replaced not long after the photo was taken.

My collection of purple line E200s on Flickr really has just been pieced together since I've never made a special effort to hunt them down and get a load in one go... until now. Sure it might not be the most inspired way to get bus photos, but damn if it isn't efficient. All you have to do is stand and wait until you start seeing the same buses coming round again!
