Take your pick - which screen arrangement do you like best?
At Jenners department store here is an example of our old roller blind technology, seen on the 11, and the new digital electric screen on the 8.
I have felt all of my life the uselessness of the so-called 'intermediate' screen which can only be described as an aesthetically pleasing accessory. Residents in the city know where they are going and how the route diagram works. However, tourists do need to know what route the vehicle will be progressing along. But....how can they from this example on the 11?
372 has come from Leith Walk and is about to turn in to Princes Street and on to Tolcross. This screen therefore is completely useless as it's the wrong way round...and should read Leith Walk - Princes Street - Tolcross. And it's not like there's another a little up the blind to show that!
What then is the point of the intermediate unless it can show the locations in the correct way?
On the other hand there are a myriad of different ways that 8 could go to the Royal Infirmary and digital technology could provide some detail with much greater ease than before. Given the 8 here is 'on diversion' it's anyone's guess as to where this is going next!

(372) Part Three Hundred and Seventy Two of my photo per day until this virus has been defeated.
I decided to carry on until I have my second vaccine.
Technically I don't need any more photos of these since I did pretty much all them all in the second half of last year, but I thought a few more photos of the remaining purple and brown E200s wouldn't hurt. Good job too, as the only other one I have uploaded of this particular vehicle is from 2017!
