Table top photos, especially when it's cold and wet outside.

Thank you to everyone who pauses long enough to look at my photo. Any comments or Faves are very much appreciated.

(snoring) Zzzzzzzz… oh shit, hi. (cough cough)…ok……umm….. Hi there! You just happened to wobble right on in to day 355 of my already completed but not quite posted 365-day self-portrait project.

You know in the history of our species on this planet, there isn’t a more widely known popular notion that was eventually proven wrong as this: the world being flat.

Ask anyone, even the biggest moron you know, and he or she more than likely will know that “everyone” used to think the world was flat at some point. I assume this wasn’t challenged much in those days. Hell it makes sense if I wasn’t told otherwise. It seems flat to me. It even feels flat when I walk on it. You do walk on flat things, not spheres, right?

Hell maybe it is flat!?

I doubt it. But if you think about it, how do I know? I am basing my undoubted faith that this world is the shape of a sphere based on pictures I’ve seen. And of course the thousands among thousands of times I’ve been told this by everyone I know including my family and teachers and everyone on TV. Everyone.

What if everything isn’t as it appears to be? We are all conditioned to believe certain things, such as the shape of our planet, without even giving them a glancing doubt.

Take the word of a pimp when I say this: There is something much more momentous to our existence here and the reality we think we live in. This may exist here on Earth in our own souls or in the depths of space, or both, or neither. But there is much more than meets the eye.

We don’t know as much as you think we do. In fact, we as a species don’t know shit. We don’t know where we came from pre-birth and we don’t know where we go post-death.

And please, don’t give me what your particular religion has bestowed upon you as an argument. Your opinions are faith based and hold no substance outside of your religious circle.

The shot at hand? Well it was raining outside, which for many equates to miserable. For pimp it typically spells the word “p h o t o g r a p h”. The clouds as you can see were incredibly awesome. I shot the reflection of the puddle like this with intending to rotate it later. This was actually REALLY difficult to frame properly with my reflection being the main subject. Especially with me having to run across puddles on a 12 second timer and 2 kids in the car bitching at me.

Seed pods of the Bottlebrush tree, much enlarged, brought home from the dog walk.

woke up with a massive migraine and nausea, hasn't been a pleasant day, been cuddled in my blanket and my tea all day. So, I'm posting an outtake from yesterday. it's similar but I think gives a different story

hope you guys are having/ had a more energetic day than I've had :)

Bright colors.

I walked around the station, hoping to find something suitably colorful. Inside one of the department stores I ran across this basket of balloons. They were using them to promote something, but I didn't take the time to find out what. I assume they were selling condoms, but I could be wrong.

sorry for all the bokeh shots lately.
