This took waaaaay to long for the result I got. It looked much cooler in my head. I'm tired of trying to line it up and get the cup and pedestal focused...done. I shot this with a 50mm 1.4 through a 85mm 1.8.

You and I are on completely different worlds. You’re the type of guy that all the girls love. Popular, attractive. I’m the type of girl that all the guys think of as a friend. Different, tells it like it is. So why are you and I starting to become so close? Close enough for you to miss me. Close enough for me to smile when I see your name pop up on my phone. Something doesn’t add up, but I was never really good at math anyway. Or chemistry for that matter. And maybe our chemistry is just the right balance, I’m just too naive to believe it.

Flynn's had a far better week this week! He did go on fluids for the day on Monday, but more as a precaution than because he seemed super poorly. We've still been going to the vet every day since, but only for quick visits, so Flynn can have an antibiotic injection, in hopes of more fully fighting off whatever inner ear(?) infection has been causing so much misery (our vet wonders if it even spread to his spine). At this point, I rather doubt we're going to fully be rid of it but the vet's talked of maybe giving short courses of antibiotics prophylactically & if that can keep the worst symptoms at bay, it might be the best option. It's just a case of working out how long Flynn can go between courses, obviously, we don't want to overload his system but his symptoms vary & are often very subtle to start with, so it'd be easy to delay too long.
Flynn's continuing to be a good little patient & he's now befriended the staff at the vets. He's understandably not thrilled to reach the building each day but once inside, he greets various now familiar people with a wagging tail & even asks for cuddles! Considering in the past Flynn's reaction to being at the vets has been to sit & shake & stare into the distance, too worried to acknowledge me, let alone anyone else, it's quite a change watching him voluntarily up to staff & stick his head in their laps! Ha, nurses I never saw before have popped by & greeted him by name & told him he's looking better! He is much better - far more bright & alert, moving more confidently, eating better (not as well as I'd like but better), his digestion is back to normal, & he's just much more himself, even in his facial expression (he squints his eyes shut & holds his ears oddly when the infection is bad).
This photo makes me so happy! Taken on our way back from the vets on Friday afternoon. For much for the previous week & even the beginning of this week, he'd really only been getting out of his buggy for potty breaks, hardly walking any distance at all. Flynn's now demanding to be allowed to walk further & on this day, made it clear he wished to take a slightly longer route home, through some woods. Seeing him potter happily along, up ahead of me on the trail, was such a joy - something that just a week or so earlier, I'd been very uncertain I'd ever experience again. Go Flynn!
