Scrapbook photos by Mary Adaline Kennedy, ’05. Kennedy, a graduate of Maryville Academy of the Sacred Heart, which much later became Maryville University, kept a scrapbook during her time as a student at the original campus on Meramec and Nebraska streets in south St. Louis.

Happy Imbolc! We celebrated with a couple of other families, making candles, planting seeds of creativity, and feasting on a 'waking earth' cake. So lovely to think that spring is on it's way, slowly but surely! (Can you tell which of my children is least resistant to having the camera in his face?!!!)

Patrick just got off the bus, crossed the street, and was coming my way. Hat, bandana, Obama t-shirt...oh my. I knew I had to ask.
"Can I take your photo?"
"What for?"
"I'm working on a photo project called 100 Strangers..."
"Are you gonna pay me?"
"Haha...no."
Points to his friend, "Take a photo of her."
"But I love your look man."
"Alright."
Snap.
Well, the exchange was funnier in person. And I should have asked him to mirror Obama's look. :)
