A flash photo of some horses on the carousel during the annual Fall Festival in the Grand Place of Mons, Belgium
I'm posting this for Roid Week 2022 even though I shot it for Roid Week 2009, thirteen years ago! I never scanned this one before but I did take it with me to Scotland this year and left it as part of my Picturecrossing Project.
CAMERA: Polaroid SLR 680 SE
FILM: Original Polaroid 600 Film
expired 9/2009
DATE SHOT: 11/6/2009
LEFT: 9/11/22 on a post just outside the Burnside Tea Room and Filling Station on Glasgow Road in Sanquhar, Scotland.
We had been having coffee and scones there when a bunch of horses came by with their riders and people giving riding lessons. So this seemed like an appropriate picture to leave here. You can see a pair of the horses in the background of the picture below showing where it was left.

I had a great day today. The local ski hill picked up 9"+ over night! Best powder day of the season.
On my way home I stopped and took this shot.
Random Fact: I played poker last night. Ended up walking away up $1 which is good because I was down $20 fifteen minutes earlier.

I have had the laziest weekend imaginable. I have barely left my bed let alone the house :s This was taken on a very quick walk into town and is nothing special....winter is fast approaching!

8/10 - Sewing
Aside from knitting I also like to sew. Ok, so the largest thing I have ever sewn was a long skirt, and that's a fairly simple pattern, but I still enjoy it any way. I normally like to make small things, like tea cozies and cute little gift bags. Also, like I do with yarn, I like to go to Good Will to find old clothes with nice fabric and salvage it. I like being thrifty ^_^
Friday the 13th, a day some people dread and feel brings bad luck to them. But for me, today was a great day! Yesterday and today I had doctor's appointments with my specialists and both were impressed enough with my recovery that they felt that I could drive again! It's been nearly 4 months since my surgery and not being able to drive has been no fun at all! My first trip behind the wheel was out to one of my favourite country roads north of the city. I was shocked to see that the farm land had been peeled away and was being prepared for a new subdivision. It made me feel horrible that the beautiful countryside views were gone forever. Those are the joys of progress I guess.
