Porch is finished. Too late for my dad to enjoy which he totally would have. Makes me sick. Took another day off work. I just needed to lay around, read, and chill.

And, probably the last star trail in a while. I did two last night, and so the second one will probably be a back up while recovering from shoulder surgery. For when the only images I can come up with is with the camera sitting next to me on the couch with the timer remote in one hand and nothing in the other hand, and CLICK! Just to get a nonsense shot! What ever it takes to get this 365 done! I am NOT backing out over a little surgery! :D
Any way, let me tell you about my night last night! I knew I wanted to head up the hill, to Julian. Let me tell you something, out there alone, in the dark, CREPPY! I was actually planning on staying until 3 am, and then leaving just in time to get to work! But I did not last 5 minutes past midnight! Next time, it will have to be a star party with others, because I don't think I want to do that alone again! Seriously! So, this was from the first stop, just past the town of Julian. There was an RV there, blocking the crosses that were up there, so I could not use them as a foreground element. These trees did just find. And when that RV left and when there was a second car that drove by, they lit the trees quite nicely! AND, as you can tell, there were some clouds in the area. I made that trip to see if Julian had a better view of the stars then my back yard, to TRY to capture the elusive shooting starts, but as you can see, my visibility was limited due to the wispy clouds. Which was another reason why I left when I did, because why bother sticking around for meteors, if the sky is not clear? OFF I went! But not before capturing this 69 image shot of the stars from Julian!
Geek talk:
A total of 69 images, all of which are:
30 seconds long
ISO 1250
f/3.5
AND, as far as I can tell here, no meteor shots in this one.

And, for more information about stacking star trails like this, and why, please visit the link above, to my blog. I typed it all out and if this is something you would like to do, this is a good starting place.
Please enjoy!

Walked the dogs. Went to yoga where yoga teacher told me she didn't vote because she didn't have time to look at candidates (like for the months leading up to the election and the weeks of early voting we had) and she only votes in "important" elections like Abrams vs Kemp for Governor isn't important enough. Then she said she cared about Gun Control. Fuck you yoga teacher.
