Red Sled.
Anonymous customer orders can lead to some big surprises at the shop. (Secret) Santa wanted to make a serious statement on the street this year and we had just the sled ready to go when he showed up.

Oshawa Ry. 300 was reportedly built in 1920 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. In 1923 the OR was absorbed by Canadian National Railways. Seashore purchased No. 300 from CN in 1964.

I just picked up this nifty 35mm slr from eBay. Centon was a brand of cameras sold by a chain of stores in Great Britain called Jessops. This Centon DF-300 is actually just a rebranded Minolta X-300. When Minolta moved one of their factories to China, they allowed the Chinese camera company Seagull a special license to manufacture the Minolta X-300 and rebrand it for other companies. In addition to the Centon DF-300, I've found a dozen other names this camera was also produced with, including the Seagull DF-300.
The Minolta X-300 was also known as the Minolta X-370 when it was marketed in the United States and Canada. I have a friend who just bought two Minolta X-370s. I loaned her some of my Minolta gear to try the first one out with.
The statue of legendary Port Vale manager John Rudge was unveiled last Monday, on his 80th birthday. Today he received a rapturous reception before the game against Wimbledon, where Port Vale won 3-2 in an excellent match, to go four points clear at the top of League 2.

I can remember becoming interested in buses as a young teenager and the new fleet group of 1972 (251-300) instantly became my favourites.
I had already really liked the previous two deliveries 301-350 and 351-400 but these seemed even better. WFS 300K was the very last of 225 similar Atanteans we had in Edinburgh (801-825 / 851-900 / 301-400 and 251-300) and the thrill of having a door where you boarded and another to alight was. The whole concept of 'paying the driver' at the door was still quite new and it made some of us feel we were growing up a little!
How glorious it was to stand here in the exhibition hall at Lathalmond to take in this sight - oh so many flashbacks to one's early youth!
